Sungkyunkwan Law School is one of the professional graduate schools of Sungkyunkwan University, located in Seoul, South Korea. Founded in 2009, it is one of the founding law schools in South Korea and is one of the larger schools with each class in the three-year J.D. program having approximately 120 students.

Suwon is the capital and largest city of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea's most populous province which surrounds Seoul, the national capital. Suwon lies about 30 km (19 mi) south of Seoul. Sungkyunkwan University is a private comprehensive research university in South Korea. The institution traces its origins to the historic Sungkyunkwan, founded in 1398 and located in central Seoul. As the foremost educational institution of the Joseon Dynasty, it was governed by the great code of the state administration with royal assent. It was restructured as a comprehensive university in the late 19th century, and has since greatly expanded its course offerings.
National Chengchi University is a Taiwan-based national research university. The university is also considered as the earliest public service training facility of the Republic of China. First established in Nanjing in 1927, the university was subsequently relocated to Taipei in 1954. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious and prominent universities in Taiwan. The university, abbreviated as NCCU, specializes in arts and humanities, mass media, linguistics and literature, social sciences, economics, management, politics, and international affairs programs. It is the only publicly funded university in Taiwan which provides courses in journalism, advertising, radio and television, diplomacy, and several languages which are not taught at other institutions in Taiwan. The name Chengchi means governance or politics, and refers to its founding in 1927 as a training institution for senior civil service for the Nanjing Nationalist government of the Republic of China. The university has strong ties with academic institutions like Academia Sinica, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Taiwan University and National Palace Museum. NCCU is a member of the University System of Taiwan.
Sungkyunkwan was the foremost educational institution in Korea during the late Goryeo and Joseon Dynasties. Today, it sits in its original location, at the south end of the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus of Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea. Twice a year, in May and September, the ceremonial rite Seokjeon Daeje is performed in the Munmyo Shrine, to honor Confucius and the Confucian sages of China and Korea.

Sungkyunkwan University Station is a ground-level metro station on line 1 of the Seoul Subway in Yuljeon Dong, Jangan Gu, Suwon, South Korea. The station's sole exit offers access to Sungkyunkwan University and Dongnam Health College. Travel time from Sungkyunkwan University Station to Seoul Station on Line 1 is 54 minutes, and travelling to Sungkyunkwan University's other campus, by Hyehwa Station in Seoul, takes 67 minutes, transferring to Line 4 at Geumjeong. Extension work recently set on Sungkyunkwan university station with 4 floors including café and community center that can handle more than 50,000 people a day and this construction will be finished at the end of 2016.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal is a South Korean historical drama starring Park Min-young, Park Yoo-chun, Yoo Ah-in and Song Joong-ki. Directed by Kim Won-seok and written by Kim Tae-hee, it is based on Jung Eun-gwol's bestselling 2007 novel The Lives of Sungkyunkwan Confucian Scholars. It aired on KBS2 from August 30 to November 2, 2010 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 20 episodes.

Sohn Kyung-han is a defence attorney and law professor based in Seoul, South Korea. Sohn is a specialist in intellectual property law, international trade law, technology law, information society law, sports law, entertainment law and international arbitration. Sohn is president of the Korean Intellectual Property Society and the Korea Private International Law Association, and a law professor at Sungkyunkwan University.
Jung-Mo Lee is a South Korean cognitive psychologist and cognitive scientist. His main areas of study include language, human memory, history of psychology, and foundations of cognitive science. He received his PhD in memory and language from Queen's University, Ontario, Canada in 1979. He currently is a Professor Emeritus at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul.
Kim Jun-young is a South Korean economist, professor, and the current 19th president of Sungkyunkwan University. Under his leadership, the university has made globalisation a top priority, actively seeking partnerships with foreign universities to expand two-way student exchange. Kim is one of Korea's leading experts on macroeconomics, and he still teaches a popular class on the subject, rare for a Korean university president. He has published numerous books on the subject, including one bestseller, Macroeconomics.
