Sunniva Hofstad (born 17 July 2004) is a Norwegian boxer. She is junior world champion from 2022, European junior champion from 2021 and 2022, and qualified to compete in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Born in Trondheim on 17 July 2004, [1] Hofstad won a gold medal in the middleweight class (75 kg) at the 2022 IBA Youth World Boxing Championships. [2] She won European junior championships titles in both 2021 and 2022.
Competing at an Olympic qualification tournament in March 2024, she qualified to the 75 kg class at the Olympics. [3] [4] In May 2024 she was officially selected to represent Norway at the 2024 Summer Olympics. [5] She is the first female Norwegian boxer to ever qualify for the Olympic Games. [6] She was defeated by former world champion Lovlina Borgohain in the first round. [7]
Fritz Aanes is a Norwegian Greco-Roman wrestling coach, TV personality and former wrestler. He is a two-time Olympian and competed in the Greco-Roman 85 kg event at the 2000 Summer Olympics and in the Greco-Roman 84 kg event at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He is a Nordic Championships gold, two-time silver, and bronze medallist, and eight-time national champion.
Ezinne Okparaebo is a Norwegian sprinter. She is Scandinavia's fastest woman ever over 60m and 100m. Okparaebo has won the 100m national title 13 times. She moved to Norway as a nine-year old and grew up in Ammerud. She visited the Haugen skole, where her sprinting talent was discovered on a sports school day. She has been the top female sprinter in Norway since 2005, and is competing for the club IL Norna-Salhus. She won the silver medal at 60 metres for women in the 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championships and the bronze medal in the same discipline in 2011 European Athletics Indoor Championships.
Kjetil Borch is a Norwegian rower. He is a two-time Olympic medallist and won the silver medal in the single sculls at the 2020 Summer Olympics and the bronze medal in the double sculls at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Borch is also a two-time world champion and a European champion (2018). He is a four-time Olympian and competed at the 2012, 2016, 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.
Stig-André Berge is a Norwegian Greco-Roman wrestling coach and former wrestler, who competed in the categories between 59–63 kg. He is a three-time Olympian and won a bronze medal in the men's Greco-Roman 59 kg at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Berge is also a World Championships bronze medallist and three-time European Championships silver medallist.
