Superstar K7 (Korean : 슈퍼스타 K7) is the seventh season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 20 August 2015 on Mnet and aired Thursday nights at 11PM KST. Eliminations are determined in every episode, based on text message votes and online votes that are open to the entire public. The winner of Superstar K7, Kevin Oh received 500,000,000 won (US$470,990), a Jaguar XE, and other benefits. This was the largest prize offered in the history of the show so far, in hopes of regaining their audience share. [1] Yoon Jong-shin, Kim Bum-soo, & Baek Ji-young returned as judges. The season also saw the addition of Sung Si-kyung as a judge following the departure of Lee Seung-chul. [2] [3]
Kim Bum-soo, is a South Korean singer who is widely considered one of the country's best vocalists. Kim debuted in 1999 with the album, A Promise, and in 2001, he charted on the Billboard Hot Singles Sales chart with his song "Hello Goodbye Hello" which reached number 51. He is best known for the song, "I Miss You," which was featured on the soundtrack for the 2003 Korean drama, Stairway to Heaven.
Kang Seung-yoon, also known mononymously as Seungyoon or Yoon, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, actor, and leader of boy band Winner. His appearance on the reality television singing contest Superstar K2 (2010) rose him to prominence after finishing in fourth place. The digital single "Instinctively", became his first number-one single as a soloist and neared 2 million digital copies in sales. On January 12, 2011, he signed with South Korean label YG Entertainment and officially debuted as a solo artist on July 16, 2013, with the digital single "It Rains" and as the leader of Winner on August 17, 2014.
Superstar K is a South Korean television talent show series which is held yearly. First held in 2009, Superstar K has increasingly gained more attention, considered the biggest audition program in South Korea. Superstar K's concept involves that of finding the next "superstar," with the winner each week determined with a combination of the scores given by judges and votes from viewers.
Superstar K3 is the third season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, broadcast by M.net. The theme song for this season, "Fly" is written by producer Park Keun-tae and sung by Super Junior-K.R.Y. It was released on 14 April 2011 and debuted at the preliminary round in Busan on 24 April till the final show in November. It was also the first season within the show's three-year history to allow group acts to compete.

Superstar K4 is the fourth season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 17 August 2012 on Mnet and airs every Friday night at 11PM KST. Lee Seung-Chul and Yoon Mi-Rae returned as judges, and were joined by singer/songwriter PSY who replaced Yoon Jong-Shin who had been a judge in the last two seasons. 2,083,447 applicants were recorded for this season, surpassing the record set by the previous season.

Superstar K5 is the fifth season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 9 August 2013 on Mnet and aired Friday nights at 11PM KST. On July 11, 2013, it was confirmed that Lee Seung-chul and Yoon Jong-shin would be returning to join the judges member panel, the latter having been missing from the previous season. This season also saw the addition of Lee Ha-neul of DJ DOC as a judge following the departure of Yoon Mi-rae. This season saw over 1,982,661 applicants across the multiple avenues of entry for the show.
Kim Sang-woo, known professionally as Roy Kim (Korean: 로이킴), is a South Korean singer-songwriter and radio presenter. He began his singing career after winning the television talent show Superstar K 4 in 2012.
Superstar K6 is the sixth season of the South Korean television talent show series Superstar K, which premiered on 22 August 2014 on Mnet and aired Friday nights at 11PM KST. Eliminations were determined in each episode based on text message votes and online votes open to the public. The winner of Superstar K6, Kwak Jin-eon, received 500,000,000 won worth of prizes and benefits; 300,000,000 won in cash prizes and 200,000,000 won for record producing. Lee Seung-chul and Yoon Jong-shin returned as judges. The season also saw the addition of Kim Bum-soo and Baek Ji-young as judges following the departure of Lee Ha-neul of DJ DOC.
SuperStar SMTOWN is a South Korean rhythm game developed by Dalcomsoft, Inc. which was first launched on Google Play in August 2014. The game features songs by artists of the entertainment company SM Entertainment. The game is available in Asia and the US, and is playable in English, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Indonesian, and Turkish.
4th Impact is a Filipino girl group composed of sisters Almira, Irene, Mylene and Celina Cercado. The group competed in the twelfth season of the British singing contest The X Factor, where they were the ninth contestant eliminated. They are also known for having participated in several Philippine and international talent competitions, including the World Championships of Performing Arts, which they won in 2006 and 2013, and the South Korean talent search Superstar K6 in 2014, where they reached eighth place. The sisters are originally from Roxas, Isabela, and are now based in Metro Manila.

Eliminations are determined in every episode, based on text message votes and online votes that are open to the entire public. The winner of Superstar K 2016, Kim Young-geun, won 500,000,000 won (US$470,990). This was the last season of the show to be produced, due to much lower viewership ratings than in past seasons. Kim Bum-soo returned as a judge. This season saw the addition of Gummy, Gil Seong-joon, Kim Yeon-woo, Brave Brothers, Ailee, and Han Sung-ho. This was the largest lineup of judges in the show's history, totaling 7.
Kevin Oh, is a South Korean and American singer-songwriter. He is the winner of Superstar K7. He released his first EP, Stardust, on January 20, 2017. He was also a contestant on the JTBC show, Superband.
Bursters (Korean: 버스터즈, formerly known as Burstered is a South Korean metalcore band under Evermore Music. The group first appeared on Superstar K6, in which the band finished at Top 6 as the first-ever heavy rock band in Superstar K history to do so. They released their debut album, Live In Hope, on April 16, 2017, which received a high score of 85/100 on Japan's renowned hard rock and metal magazine Burrn!. The band is also the first Korean artist to have been included in the weekly radio playlist of Kerrang! with the single "Barriers".
Video Star is a South Korean talk show hosted by Kim Sook, Park Na-rae, Park So-hyun, and Sandara Park. It airs on the MBC cable channel MBC every1 on Tuesdays at 20:30 (KST). The first episode aired on July 12, 2016.
Park Woo-jin, also known mononymously as Woojin, is a South Korean rapper, singer and songwriter. He placed sixth in the second season of Produce 101, becoming a member of the project group Wanna One. He is a member of the boy group AB6IX.
Jisoo Park, better known by his stage name NIve (니브), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, producer, and composer. He made his first public appearance as a contestant in the South Korean talent show Superstar K 6, where he finished in the Top 9. NIve released his first single, "Getaway," with singer-songwriter JMSN on November 9, 2018. NIve has also written, composed, and produced songs for major K-pop artists, including BTS, NCT, Chen, Paul Kim and Sam Kim.
Kim Min-seo, known mononymously as Minseo, is a South Korean singer and actress. She was selected as part of the Top 8 on Superstar K 7. She made her official debut in 2018 with "Wonderful Dream".
