Susan Lynn McElroy is doctor know for her research in bipolar disorder, eating disorders, obesity, impulse control disorders and pharmacology. She is Chief Research Officer at Lindner Center of Hope. [2]
She has published several books and has received awards in her field.
McElroy got her B.A. at Colgate University in 1979, Hamilton, and her M.D. at Cornell University Medical College in 1983, both in New York. This was followed by an internship in Internal Medicine at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, and a residency in psychiatry at McLean Hospital, Massachusetts. She has also had fellowships at Cornell University Medical College, Harvard Medical School, and McLean Hospital. [2] [ unreliable source? ]
She is the author of over 400 scientific papers in leading medical journals and was the 8th most cited scientist in the world published in the fields of psychiatry and psychology since 1996. [1]
