John Howard Lindauer II is an American economist who served as chancellor for the University of Alaska Anchorage from 1976 to 1978 then was Dean of the School of Business and Public Affairs. He was the Republican Party candidate for governor of Alaska in 1998, but ultimately ended up pleading no contest to campaign finance violations. He is the father of Susan Lindauer and John Howard Lindauer III, and lived in Alaska from 1976 until 2002. He currently resides in Chicago.

Thelma Garcia Buchholdt was a Filipino American community activist, politician, historian, public speaker, cultural worker, and author. She was elected to the Alaska House of Representatives for four consecutive terms, from 1974 through 1982. She was the author of the book Filipinos in Alaska: 1788-1958, which is now in its third printing and is available through the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center.

Jane Arliss Sturgulewski was a businesswoman and Republican politician from the U.S. state of Alaska. In a political career in which she started appearing in the spotlight in 1975, she represented Anchorage in the Alaska Senate from 1979 to 1993. Twice during off-years in re-election to her four-year Senate term, she won the Republican nomination for governor of Alaska against mostly conservative opposition in blanket primaries. The second time, in 1990, she came out in third place behind Walter Hickel and runner up Tony Knowles, which was the second of three times in Alaska's history a major-party nominee placed third. She won a 2000 Anchorage Athena award.
Catherine Andrea Giessel, is a Republican politician from the U.S. state of Alaska, serving since 2011. Giessel represents District N in the Alaska Senate, including Northeast Anchorage, Anchorage Hillside and the Turnagain Arm communities of Bird, Girdwood, Indian, and Anchorage, all within the Municipality of Anchorage. First elected in 2010 while identifying with Tea Party values, she has also served as the vice-chair of the state Republican Party and had a career in nursing. Following redistricting, she was elected to a different senate seat in 2012. Giessel serves as chair of the Resources Committee and is a member of the Senate Majority Caucus. After Senate President Pete Kelly was unseated in 2018, Giessel was elected president of the Alaska Senate, a post she held until 2021.

Olga Katherine Torkelsen Hurley was the Secretary to Alaska Territorial Governor Ernest Gruening from 1944 until his departure from office in 1953. She was Chief Clerk to the Alaska Constitutional Convention in 1955–56 and the secretary to the State Senate for five terms. In 1984, she was elected to seat 16-A in the Alaska house, serving until January 1987.
Edward Russell Meekins Jr. was an American politician who served four terms as a Democratic member of the Alaska House of Representatives from 1973 to 1974 and from 1977 to 1982. He went to Oregon State University, University of Oregon, and Anchorage Community College majoring in economics, history, and political science. Meekins worked for Alaska Water Refining Company and was the vice-president of the company. His father Russ Meekins Sr. and sister Susan Sullivan also served in that body. Meekins died at his home in Sandwich, Massachusetts. He was the father of figure skater Drew Meekins.

He was a salesman of new and used cars in Anchorage, Alaska and was popularly known around town as "Hustling Russ". His son Russ Meekins Jr. and his daughter Susan Sullivan also served in the Alaska State Legislature. His grandson was the figure skater Drew Meekins. Another grandson is the popular rapper Cam Meekins.
