Susanna Gaboyan (born 25 August 1996) is an Armenian chess player who holds the title of Woman International Master (2018). She three times won Armenian Women's Chess Championships (2015, 2021, 2024).
Susanna Gaboyan regularly participates in the finals of the Armenian Women's Chess Championships. In this tournaments she won three gold (2015, [1] 2021, [2] 2024 [3] ), four silver (2019, [4] 2020, [5] 2022, [6] 2023 [7] ) and two bronze (2016, [8] 2017 [9] ) medals.

The Olympiad was initially supposed to take place in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia, the host of the Chess World Cup 2019, in August 2020, but it was later moved to Moscow. However, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then relocated to Chennai following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. This was the first Chess Olympiad to take place in India.
