Sverre Geir Istad (born 3 January 1965) is a former Norwegian biathlete. He was born in Voss as the son of Jon Istad, and represented the club Voss IL. He competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. [1]

He won a silver medal in the team event at the Biathlon World Championships 1991. [2]

Stenersen won the Nordic combined event at the national championships in 1954–58 and at the Holmenkollen ski festival in 1955, 1956 and 1959. In 1955 he received the Holmenkollen medal, shared with King Haakon VII, Hallgeir Brenden, and Veikko Hakulinen.

Sverre Sørsdal was a Norwegian boxer who competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics, in the 1924 Summer Olympics, and in the 1928 Summer Olympics.
