Swear and Shake was an indie folk band based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Formed in 2010 by Kari Spieler (vocals, lyrics, guitar), Adam McHeffey (vocals, lyrics, guitar, banjo), the band included Shaun Savage (electric bass). [1] [2] Time Out New York described their sound as "postcard-perfect indie folk with an undercurrent of sly humor." [3] Swear and Shake self-identify their sound as "Big Hook Americana". [4] The band relocated from Brooklyn, New York to Nashville, Tennessee, in November, 2014, to write their second full-length record. On November 23, 2017, via social media, the band announced their breakup and that they will be moving onto new projects after 7 years as Swear and Shake. [5]

The Sound of Letting Go LP

In 2016 Swear and Shake ran a second crowdfunding campaign for "The Sound of Letting Go," their second full-length set of recordings. It was recorded in Richmond, VA, at Spacebomb Studios. The 13-track LP was on June 2, 2017 under the band's independent label, Pots and Pans Records.

Maple Ridge LP

In 2012 Swear and Shake released their debut album Maple Ridge. The band's campaign to fund the record through the crowd funding website Kickstarter exceeded its goal by $750.00. [6] The record gained the band attention amongst notable independent music blogs, with My Old Kentucky Blog featuring Swear and Shake in their New Band Smell section, [7] multiple features in The Deli Magazine, [8] [9] and The Blue Indian naming Swear and Shake as their Band Of The Month for December 2012. [10]

Los Campesinos!

Los Campesinos! are a seven-piece indie pop band from Cardiff, Wales, formed in early 2006 at Cardiff University. Though the band formed in Wales, none of the members are Welsh. The band has gone through several lineup changes during their career, with their current lineup consisting of Gareth David, Neil Beale (guitar), Tom Bromley (guitar), Rob Taylor, Kim David, Matt Fidler (bass) and Jason Adelinia (drums); the members replace their surnames with "Campesinos" as stage names. David, Beale and Bromley are the only remaining original members still in the band.

Kristin Andreassen

Kristin Andreassen is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, dancer, old time musician and educator. Currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, she started her music career as a professional clogger with Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble and in the early 2000s joined the folk bands Uncle Earl and Sometymes Why as a vocalist, dancer, songwriter, guitarist. She is known for using body percussion and dance in live performances.

Randolphs Leap (band)

Randolph's Leap is an eight piece indie-pop band from Glasgow, Scotland, and signed to Lost Map Records as of 2014. Dana Cooper is an American singer-songwriter from Missouri. His awards include the 2014 Heritage Musician award from the Pilgrim Center for the Arts in Kansas City, MO and Folk Alliance International's 2015 Spirit of Folk award. He has performed on Austin City Limits, Mountain Stage and at the Kerrville Folk Festival. Cooper’s songs have been recorded by a long list of artists that include Trout Fishing in America, Rex Foster, Claire Lynch, Maura O’Connell, Pierce Pettis, and Susan Werner. Fellow singer-songwriter Buzz Holland has said “Cooper is a person who can sing like an angel and play like the devil.”
