Swingin' Utters is an album by the Californian punk rock band Swingin' Utters, released in 2000. [4] [5] It was produced by Ryan Greene, and has a folkier sound than the band's previous albums.

Critical reception

The Pembroke Observer wrote that "the opening track, 'Pills and Smoke', is immediately so retro sounding that it could reel anyone back into the days of crash and burn English punk rock, whereas 'Watching the Wayfarers' is a superb rockabilly, country blues number that's complete with mandolin and upright bass." [6] The San Antonio Express-News wrote that the Utters "toss in elements of cow punk, folk/rock and melody ... [their] songs stretch boundaries with instrumentation such as upright bass, violin, piano, cello and mandolin." [7]

Swingin' Utters is a Californian punk rock band that formed in the late 1980s. After a seven-year hiatus, the band reformed in 2010 and have since released four more records.

The Filthy Thieving Bastards is an American folk/punk rock group formed in 2000 in San Francisco, California. The band was originally a side project put together by Johnny Bonnel and Darius Koski of the Swingin' Utters. Spike Slawson later joined the band, along with recording engineer Randy Burk. Greg Lisher from Camper Van Beethoven guested on guitar for several songs on their second release. Their music is influenced by folk rock, Celtic rock, country music, 60's pop, and punk rock, with an acknowledged and oft-noted debt to the music of The Pogues.

One Man Army is an American punk rock band that was formed in San Francisco, California, United States, in 1996 and separated in 2005 and reunited in 2011.
