Sylvia Kajoeramari is a Surinamese politician. She was a member of the National Assembly from 2005 to 2010,representing Marowijne District for the Pertjajah Luhur (PL) party.
Kajoeramari is from the village of Galibi in Marowijne District. [1] She is of Kalina origin. [2] [3]
During the 2005 elections,Kajoeramari was a candidate of the Pertjajah Luhur (PL) party,which was then part of the New Front alliance. She won a seat in the National Assembly for the 2005-2010 term. [4] She advocated to establish the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples (proposed by the United Nations in 1994) as an official Surinamese public holiday. President Ronald Venetiaan declared its observance in 2006. [5]
Her brother Ramses Kajoeramari,a former village chief,was also elected to the National Assembly (2010-2015). [2] [3] In 2014,she made the switch from the PL to the General Liberation and Development Party (ABOP). [6]
DesiréDelano Bouterse is a Surinamese military officer,politician,convicted murderer and drug trafficker who served as President of Suriname from 2010 to 2020. From 1980 to 1987,he was Suriname's de facto leader after conducting a military coup and establishing a period of military rule. In 1987,Bouterse founded the National Democratic Party (NDP). On 25 May 2010,Bouterse's political alliance,the Megacombinatie,which included the NDP,won the parliamentary elections,and on 19 July 2010,Bouterse was elected as President of Suriname with 36 of 50 parliament votes. He was inaugurated on 12 August 2010.

Albina can be reached by bus via the East-West Link. The distance between Paramaribo and Albina is about 150 kilometres (95 mi).
Moengo is a town in Suriname,located in the Marowijne district,between Paramaribo and the border town Albina on the Cottica River. Moengo is also a resort (municipality) in the district of Marowijne. Moengo was the capital of Marowijne District between 1932 and 1945. The current capital is Albina.
The National Assembly is the Parliament,representing the legislative branch of government in Suriname. It is a unicameral legislature. The assembly has been situated in the former park house at the Independence Square in Paramaribo,after a fire destroyed the old building of representation on 1 August 1996. A reconstruction of the old building was completed in 2022.

Hugo Jabini is a Saramaka Maroon politician and environmental leader from Suriname. In 1998 he became the spokesman of the Association of Saamaka Authorities. In 2007 he and Wanze Eduards were part of the VSG team that won an landrights lawsuit against the Surinamese government in international court. For their work in the landrights struggle they shared the Goldman Environmental Prize in 2009. From 2010 to 2015 Jabini was a member of the Surinamese National Assembly,as part of the National Democratic Party (NDP).
Chandrikapersad "Chan" Santokhi is a Surinamese politician and former police officer who is the 9th president of Suriname,since 2020. After winning the 2020 elections,Santokhi was the sole nominee for president of Suriname. On 13 July,Santokhi was elected president by acclamation in an uncontested election. He was inaugurated on 16 July.
Gregory Allan Rusland is a Surinamese politician. He served as Minister for Natural Resources between 2005 and 2010. In 2012 he became leader of the National Party of Suriname. Rusland has been a member of the National Assembly since 2015.

The case was a person who travelled from the Netherlands the previous week. On 3 April 2020,one person died. On 3 May 2020,all nine cases had recovered. On 18 May,an eleventh case was identified.

As sports manager,he was chairman of the Albina Sports Foundation for ten years,and since 2014 chairman of S.V. Papatam. Diana Marilva Pokie is a Surinamese politician. She was the assembly member from Brokopondo for the Brotherhood and Unity in Politics (BEP) before she was expelled. She returned to the assembly as the Brokopondo member representing the General Liberation and Development Party (ABOP) party. She became the first female vice-chairman of that party in 2019. On 16 July 2020,Pokie became Minister of Land and Forest Management. On 3 August 2021,Pokie was replaced by Dinotha Vorswijk.
