The son of Italian immigrants, he is best known as the co-creator and illustrator of the Astérix series in collaboration with René Goscinny. He also drew other comics such as Oumpah-pah, again with Goscinny. Uderzo retired in September 2011.

Before her official retirement from competitive cycling in 2010, Corneo rode for Italy's Top Girls Fassa Bortolo pro cycling team in the women's elite professional events.

Maraaya are a Slovenian duo founded by Marjetka Vovk and Raay in 2014. The group's name is a combination of its members' names, while its pronunciation means "She has Raay" in the Slovene language. The 2018 European Championships were the first edition of the European Championships. It was a multi-sport event which took place in Berlin, Germany, and Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom from 2 to 12 August 2018. Around 1,500 athletes competed at the European Athletics Championships in Berlin, whilst at the same time more than 3,000 took part in the other championships in Glasgow. Each European Championship will be organised by the respective federation and host city.
Sylvie Swinkels is a Dutch professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's Continental Team Parkhotel Valkenburg. She is the younger sister of cyclist Karlijn Swinkels.
