The T.S. Coogler House is a historic residence in Brooksville, Florida that belonged to pioneering educator and lawyer T.S. Coogler (Theodore Sylvestor Coogler). [1] The home later belonged to Judge Monroe Treiman. It is located at 133 South Brooksville Avenue. The Colonial Revival architecture house has two-story columns. [2] It is part of the South Brooksville Avenue Historic District.
Brooksville's second courthouse may have been built with lumber from Coogler's mill. [3]

First National Bank is a historic bank building in Brooksville, Florida. It was built in 1910 and is located at 1 Main Street. The 2-story brick building includes cast iron columns. The brick exterior was remodeled to give it a more Neoclassical appearance before 1926. The bank's first president, John Weeks, owned Weeks Hardware at 115 North Main. It is now used for the offices of Browning Insurance. John R. Culbreath once served as the chairperson for the bank.
Brooksville Cemetery is a historic graveyard in Brooksville, Florida. It was acquired by the City of Brooksville in April 1887 and was known as Chocochattee Cemetery. Originally 5 acres, it is now 51.5 acres, and is located at 1275 Olmes Road near the junction of State Road 50 and 50A. The oldest marker is for Jane Hope who died at age 30 in 1845. She was the wife of settler William Hope. Settlers killed by Seminole Indians. The cemetery includes 5,000 burial sites and includes both Confederate and Union veterans from the Civil war, veterans from the Spanish–American War, World Wars I and II veterans, Korean War veterans, Vietnam veterans and veterans from more recent conflicts.
Bethlehem Progressive Baptist Church was a historic church founded for African Americans in Brooksville, Florida. It was built in 1861 at 661 South Brooksville Avenue. Fort Taylor Cemetery served the community. The church's historical site is a stop on the Florida Black Heritage Trail. Bethlehem Baptist Church is now at the site.
Croom, also known by its previous name of Pemberton Ferry, is a ghost town in Central Florida near Brooksville, Florida, and Ridge Manor, Florida. A rail line came to Pemberton Ferry in 1884. It was a rail stop by the Withlacoochee River just north of where the I-75 bridge over Croom-Rital Road and Withlacoochee State Trail is today.
The Tampa Northern Railroad was a historic railroad line running from just east of downtown Tampa north to the city of Brooksville in Hernando County. The line continues to operate today and is under the ownership of the CSX Corporation, who operates it as their Brooksville Subdivision north of Sulphur Springs and part of their Clearwater Subdivision south of there.
