T. Surendra Reddy (born 5 April 1960) is an Indian cinematographer known for his works with director Mani Shankar in the Hindi film industry. He is known for his work in films such as Rudraksh , which was released in 2005. He is the pioneer of digital filmmaking in India. Toss is the first digital film in India to be shot with the Thomson Viper Filmstream camera by him.
He has shot on more than 50 feature films as an independent cinematographer in multiple languages and various cities, including Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Cochin and Mumbai. T.Surendra Reddy’s distinct experience includes feature films, documentaries, commercials, television serials and shooting a wide range of formats from Negative Film stock to Digital Filming. His collaboration with Indian cinema brought out notable North and South Indian films like Rudraksh - Tango Charlie (Hindi), Alexander - Kunthi Putra(kannada), Thilagam(Tamil), Aa Naluguru - Pellaina Kothalo - Toss - Srimannarayana(Telugu). Along with feature films, Surendra Reddy has been worked as a cameraman more than thousand TV episodes and hundreds of TV commercials.
T. Surendra Reddy was born in Parlapalli Village in Nellore District. Due to the desire to be a cameraman, he first worked as a "Mitchell studio camera" attender at "Murugalaya Studio". A few months after learning about the camera, in the profession in order to gain more knowledge; he worked with veteran cinematographers like, K. S. Hari, S. S. Lal, K. A. Jyothi, J. J. Vijayam, Lakshman Ghore, Dasaratharam, N. S. Raju, K. S. Mani and also with his friend Chota K Naidu. Around 40 films in 10 years span he worked as an assistant cameraman. When working with various cameramen for more excellence in the profession without wasting time, he used to read books on photography in the American Library of Madras when he had time. While working in cinemas, he was working as a helper to the television serial cameraman Sri Vijay Kumar to hold on to the ever-growing electronic media.
Surendra Reddy, who had a chance to work as a cameraman for the TV serial Tenali Ramakrishna directed by Mani Shankar in 1990 and later worked as a cinematographer for the film Margadarsi directed by B. S. Narayana in 1991 and made a distinctive identity in the electronic media and film industry.

Mani Shankar is an Indian film director known for his works in Hindi cinema. He directed works such as 16 December, one of the highest-grossing films of 2002, and Tango Charlie, which was screened in several International Film Festivals and was named a permanent part of the UN's "anti-war" movies. Over his long career, Mani Shankar has worked on many films, advertisements and political campaigns.
Aayutha Ezhuthu is a 2004 Indian Tamil-language political action film written and directed by Mani Ratnam. It is loosely based on the life story of George Reddy, a scholar from Osmania University of Hyderabad. It stars Suriya in the lead role, with an ensemble supporting cast. Bharathiraja appears in another pivotal role. This is the Tamil debut of Bollywood actress Esha Deol and remains the only Tamil film she has ever acted in. The title of the movie was taken from the name of a Tamil letter, ஃ – three dots corresponding to the film's three different personalities from completely different strata of society.
Indra is a 2002 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by B. Gopal and produced by C. Aswani Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies banner. The film stars Chiranjeevi, and Aarthi Agarwal, while Sivaji, Sonali Bendre, Mukesh Rishi and Prakash Raj play supporting roles with music composed by Mani Sharma. The film won three state Nandi Awards and two Filmfare Awards South with Chiranjeevi winning both the Nandi Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.
Rajiv Menon is an Indian filmmaker who has worked as a director and cinematographer in several Indian regional film industries. After making his breakthrough as a film cinematographer with Mani Ratnam's drama Bombay (1994), Menon has continued to collaborate with Ratnam on other projects including Guru (2007) and Kadal (2013). He has also directed 2 critically acclaimed Tamil films, Minsara Kanavu (1997) and Kandukondain Kandukondain (2000), winning a Filmfare Award for the latter. After a sabbatical, Menon returned to directing with Sarvam Thaala Mayam.
P. C. Sreeram ISC is an Indian cinematographer and film director who works in Indian films. He is also the president of Qube Cinemas, a digital cinema technology company. He is an alumnus of the Madras Film Institute. Apart from his work as a cinematographer, Sreeram was much appreciated for his directorial venture Kuruthipunal. The film was internationally acclaimed and was submitted by India as its official entry to the Oscars in 1996. Sreeram is known for his association with Bharathan, Mani Ratnam, R Balki, Vikram Kumar, and received critical acclaim for his work in films such as Thevar Magan, Mouna Ragam, Nayakan, Cheeni Kum, Agni Natchathiram, Paa, Geethanjali, Alaipayuthey, I, Pad Man, O Kadhal Kanmani, Thiruda Thiruda, Ishq, and Remo. Rudraksh is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language fantasy science fiction action film directed by Mani Shankar. cinematography by T. Surendra Reddy starring Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Bipasha Basu, Isha Koppikar and Kabir Bedi. The film has many references to epic poem Ramayana. The film released on 13 February 2004 to a negative response by critics and was declared a disaster at the box office.
Toss is a 2007 Indian Telugu-language action film written and directed by Priyadarshini Ram. The film stars Upendra, Raja, Kamna Jethmalani, and Priyamani in prominent roles. The film was released on 14 July 2007 to negative reviews. This is the first film in India to be shot with the Thompson Viper Filmstream Camera by cinematographer T. Surendra Reddy.

Satya Harischandra is a 1965 Indian Kannada epic film directed by Hunsur Krishnamurthy and produced by K. V. Reddy. It stars Dr. Rajkumar in the lead role, as Harishchandra, an Indian mythological king, who was renowned for upholding truth and justice under any circumstance. The film is based on poet Raghavanka's work, Harishchandra Kavya. The supporting cast features Udaykumar, Pandari Bai, Narasimharaju, M. P. Shankar, K. S. Ashwath and Baby Padmini. This was the second Kannada movie based on king Harishchandra, the first one being the 1943 movie Satya Harishchandra.
Vijay C. Kumar is an Indian cinematographer, who works in the Telugu cinema. He won the Nandi Award for Best Cinematographer for the film Godavari (2006). He is the son of cinematographer C. Nageshwara Rao. Vijay Kumar's work is most noted for innovative use of lighting, subject specific visualization, use of natural colors on screen, Tele-focus shots, balancing the depth of focus between the subject and objects and many more techniques. Some of his films in Telugu cinema are Vivaha Bhojanambu, Ammoru, Agraham, Dollar Dreams, Anand and Happy Days.
R. Rathnavelu is an Indian cinematographer who works predominantly in Tamil and Telugu films. His work in films such as Sethu, Nandha, Vaaranam Aayiram, Enthiran, 1: Nenokkadine, Rangasthalam and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy garnered recognition. He has garnered three Filmfare Awards South, the Vijay Awards, the Tamil Nadu State Film Award, two SIIMA Awards and the Kalaimamani Award bestowed by the Tamil Nadu state government for his work.
Marcus Bartley was an Anglo-Indian cinematographer known for his works predominantly in Telugu cinema along with a few Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil films. He was the cinematographer of all time classics like Shavukaru (1950), Pathala Bhairavi (1951), Missamma (1955), Maya Bazaar (1957), Gundamma Katha (1962), Chemmeen (1965), Ram Aur Shyam (1967). He won the National Film Award for Best Cinematography in 1970 for Shanti Nilayam. Priyan was an Indian cinematographer who has worked on Tamil language films. Beginning his career as an assistant to Balu Mahendra, Priyan began his career as an independent technician in the 1990s before establishing himself as a leading cinematographer in the Tamil film industry in the 2000s. He is notable in his work with Director Hari. He died due to heart attack in his home.
