Timothy Lewis Taylor Jr. (born August 8, 1985) is an American musician. He is the drummer of the hard rock band SOiL. He is the former drummer of the rock band Tantric.
Taylor was raised on a 100-acre farm outside of Frankfort, Kentucky. His interest in the drums began at a young age, after being given a drum kit by a neighbor. [1] Taylor spent many time playing records like Led Zeppelin's Coda , Foreigner's 4 , Rush's Hemispheres , Van Halen's 5150 or Soundgarden's Superunknown . Taylor, being left-handed, played open handed, on a right-handed positioned drum kit, and reversing his ride and first rack tom. In high school, Taylor (although under age) would sneak through the back door of a local bar to perform in the house band every Thursday night. Performing covers, as well as original material on a band called Blind Addiction. Taylor was a finalist in the Guitar Center drum off competition, as well as settling into touring gigs with former EMI singer songwriter Buffy Lawson (formerly of Bomshel), as well as Atlanta-based nu metal group Dangerous New Machine (featuring Eric Rogers of Stereomud and Billy Grey of Fozzy). Taylor toured and recorded with Tantric from 2012 to 2015 replacing drummer Ritchie Monica. Taylor was made a full-time member of the band in 2013. He recorded and toured in support of records "37 Channels" (Pavement Records), and "Blue Room Archives" (Pavement Records). He left the band in 2015. [3]
In September 2018 TJ began drumming for the metal band SOiL. TJ recorded drums on the record "Play it forward", released on Cleopatra Records in 2022.

Oliver Taylor Hawkins was an American musician who was best known as the drummer of the rock band Foo Fighters. Hawkins recorded eight studio albums with Foo Fighters between 1999 and 2021. Drowning Pool is an American rock band formed in Dallas, Texas, in 1996. The band was named after the 1975 film The Drowning Pool. Since its formation, the band has consisted of guitarist C.J. Pierce, drummer Mike Luce and bassist Stevie Benton, as well as a revolving cast of vocalists.
Robert Lee Sweet is the drummer of the Christian metal band Stryper. He and his brother Michael founded the band as Roxx or Roxx Regime. Robert became known as the "Visual Time Keeper" for his wild drumming and captivating drum kits. Unlike most drummers, Sweet faces in the direction of stage left or right while playing, not straight ahead, so that the audience can see him and not have their view of him obscured by his drumkit. He began using a sideways setup in 1978 as a way to enhance his showmanship and connect with the audience. Sweet also played a key role in the visual direction of the band itself as well as being a significant contributor to the group.
Michael Henry "Nicko" McBrain is an English musician, best known as the drummer of the heavy metal band Iron Maiden since 1982. Having played in small pub bands since 1966 from the age of 14, after leaving school McBrain did session work before joining a variety of artists, such as Streetwalkers in 1975, Pat Travers, and the French political band, Trust. He joined Iron Maiden, in time to debut on their fourth album Piece of Mind (1983), and has remained with them since, contributing to a total of fourteen studio releases, as well as being the third-longest serving member of the band.

Soil is an American rock band that was formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1997. Tantric is an American rock band from Louisville, Kentucky. The group was founded in 1998 by Todd Whitener, Jesse Vest and Mat Taul after they left Days of the New, and joined forces with vocalist Hugo Ferreira. Ferreira is the only remaining member of the band from the original lineup.
