The year 2000 was the debut year in the history of TKO Major League MMA, a mixed martial arts promotion based in Canada. Initially called Universal Combat Challenge (UCC) before rebranding to TKO Major League MMA in 2003. These early event had two 10 minute rounds and saw the promotions first Champions crowned. [1]

He was the first French-speaking Canadian to fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Loiseau has also played a gang member in French-Canadian movie La rage de l'ange. Loiseau wrote and acted in a short film called Keelos, featuring hip-hop artist Imposs and Stand-up comedian Eddy King.

Gesias Cavalcante is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist currently competing in the Lightweight division. He was the 2006 and 2007 K-1 HERO Middleweight Champion, and has also fought for Strikeforce, DREAM, Shooto, World Series of Fighting, and Cage Rage. Cavalcante also participated in the Dynamite!! USA event.

The 2010 M-1 Challenge season was the third season of mixed martial arts (MMA) fighting presented by the M-1 Global promotion.
