Take It to the Bank is the second EP by American country music artist Chris Janson. It was released on February 25, 2014 via Columbia Nashville. [1] The album includes material that Janson recorded while signed to the former BNA Records.

Country music, also known as country and western, and hillbilly music, is a genre of popular music that originated in the southern United States in the early 1920s. It takes its roots from genres such as American folk music and blues.

Christopher Pierre Janson is an American country music singer and songwriter. Janson has recorded three full-length albums, Buy Me a Boat, Everybody, and Real Friends, through Warner Bros. Records Nashville, along with one extended play each for Bigger Picture Music Group, Columbia Records, and Warner Bros. Nashville. He has charted eight singles on Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay, with four top ten hits on the latter in "Buy Me a Boat", "Fix a Drink", "Drunk Girl", and "Good Vibes". In addition to his own material, Janson has performed on albums by Holly Williams and Lee Brice, and has co-written singles for Tim McGraw, LoCash, and Randy Houser.

Sony Music Nashville is the country music branch of Sony Music Entertainment. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Sony Music Nashville includes its three country recording labels Arista Nashville, Columbia Nashville, and RCA Nashville, as well as Christian music company Provident Label Group.

Critical reception

Jon Freeman of Nash Country Weekly gave the album a positive review, praising the songs "'Til a Woman Comes Along", "Back to Me", and "I Ain't Livin' Long Like This", but criticizing the song "Where My Girls At" and comparing it to She's Country by Jason Aldean. [2] Matt Bjorke of Roughstock also reviewed the album favorably, saying that "If one wants to know the musical evolution of Chris Janson, Take It To The Bank is an essential part of that journey and something his fans should be thankful to have available to buy and add to their collections." Lindsay Elizabeth Ell is a Canadian country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist from Calgary, Alberta. Her music incorporates elements of rock, blues and pop within the country genre. She is signed to the US record label Stoney Creek Records, an imprint of Broken Bow Records. Her debut extended play, Worth the Wait, was released in March 2017. Brothers Osborne is an American country music duo consisting of brothers T.J. Osborne and John Osborne, both natives of Deale, Maryland.
