Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax, also known as AFC Ajax, Ajax Amsterdam, or commonly Ajax, is a Dutch professional football club based in Amsterdam, that plays in the Eredivisie, the top tier in Dutch football. Historically, Ajax is the most successful club in the Netherlands, with 36 Eredivisie titles and 20 KNVB Cups. It has continuously played in the Eredivisie since the league's inception in 1956, and along with Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven, it is one of the country's "big three" clubs that have dominated that competition.

The Vrouwen Eredivisie, also known as the Azerion Eredivisie Vrouwen due to a 3 year sponsor contract starting from the 2022–2023 season, is the highest women's football league in the Netherlands. Organized by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) it was established in 2007 as a professional league and played for five seasons until 2012 when the leagues of the Netherlands and Belgium merged forming a single combined league. After three seasons the BeNe League folded and the Eredivisie was restarted in the 2015–16 season. The top 2 teams receive a spot in the UEFA Women's Champions League.
The Dutch Olympic Committee*Dutch Sports Federation, generally abbreviated NOC*NSF, is the overall coordinating Dutch sports organisation that also functions as the Dutch National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee. NOC*NSF, based at the National Sports Centre Papendal in Arnhem, is the umbrella organisation for sports in the Netherlands, representing more than 23,000 sports clubs and 5,2 million Dutch people involved in sports.
Olympic Training Centre Papendal is the national training centre of the Netherlands, located in the Veluwe woods 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) from Arnhem. Papendal is the home base of NOC*NSF and football club SBV Vitesse. The soccer fields are also being used as training ground by Vitesse's first team squad. Around 550 top athletes use the facilities of Papendal, 400 on a daily basis. With over 20 building projects in 10 years time, the Olympic Training Centre is completely modernized.
Celeste Elle Plak is a Dutch volleyball player, who plays as an outside hitter. She plays for Victorina Himeji, and is the first non-caucasian player to be a part of the Netherlands women's national volleyball team.
Eefje Muskens, is a Dutch former badminton player who specializes in doubles. Her last partner for women's doubles was Selena Piek. She won the 2014, 2015 and 2016 editions of Dutch National Badminton Championships with Piek. Prior to that she already won her first National title in 2013 with Samantha Barning. She won a silver medal at the 2016 European Badminton Championships and a bronze medal at the 2014 European Badminton Championships with Piek. In 2016, she and Piek competed at the Rio Summer Olympics and reached the quarter-finals round. She also reached a semi-final at the 2016 Indonesia Open and won the 2014 edition of the Dutch Open and both the 2013 editions of the Scottish Open and the Bitburger Open BWF Grand Prix events.
Selena Piek is a successful Dutch badminton player who specializes in doubles. She won the gold medals at the European Games in 2019 in the women's doubles, and in 2023 in the mixed doubles. She was the Badminton Europe Athletes' Commission from 2016 to 2020.
VV Alterno is a Dutch volleyball club based in Apeldoorn. It has professional and amateur teams with the women's team being the most successful and currently playing in the Eredivisie Dames, the highest level in the Netherlands.
The 2009 CPISRA Football 7-a-side International Championships was an international championship for men's national 7-a-side association football teams. CPISRA stands for Cerebral Palsy International Sports & Recreation Association. Athletes with a physical disability competed. The Championship took place in the Netherlands from 23 October to 1 November 2009.
The 2017–18 Eredivisie was the 62nd season of the Eredivisie since its establishment in 1955. The season began on 11 August 2017 and concluded on 6 May 2018; the Europa League and relegation play-offs took place later that month. Feyenoord were the defending champions from the previous season. On 15 April 2018, PSV became champions for the 24th time after defeating their closest rival Ajax 3–0 at the Philips Stadion.

Ties van der Lecq is a Dutch badminton player. He won the men's doubles title at the 2020 Dutch National Championships, and was part of Dutch team that won a silver medal at the 2020 European Men's Team Championships and also a bronze medal at the 2019 European Mixed Team Championships.
The Dutch Men's Volleyball Eredivisie is a men's volleyball competition organized by the Dutch Volleyball Association (Nevobo), it was created in 1948.
