Tam O'Shanter Golf Course, officially known as Tam O'Shanter of Pennsylvania, is an 18 hole public golf course built in 1929 and was designed by Emil Loeffler. It is located in Hermitage, Pennsylvania.
Emil Loeffler, who was the superintendent of Oakmont Country Club, built the original 18 holes at Tam O'Shanter in 1929, just before the Great Depression began.
In 1948, Jack and Mary Lou Kerins purchased the course.
After the Kerins family bought the course in 1948, Jack Kerins started the annual Herald Tam O'Shanter Junior Open, which is a tournament held every June at the course played by junior golfers from around the Shenango Valley area.
On May 31, 1985, a tornado swept through the Shenango Valley and destroyed many trees on the golf course.
In the early 1990s, John and Rick Kerins bought the course from their parents and they continue to operate the course today.

The fourteenth hole, a short par 3, is known nationwide as "Death Valley" because of the many good scores that have died in its depths. There have been several aces on this hole annually.

Tam O'Shanter-Sullivan is a neighbourhood in the east end of the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in the district of Scarborough. The neighbourhood is bordered by Huntingwood Drive to the North, Kennedy Road to the East, Highway 401 to the South and Victoria Park to the West. The neighbourhood, which includes the Tam O'Shanter and Sullivan communities, takes its name from Tam O’Shanter Golf Course and O'Sullivan's Corners.
The World Championship of Golf was a championship played on the PGA Tour in the 1940s and 1950s that, in its latter years, boasted a purse that dwarfed every other event on the tour, including even the U.S. Open. It was played in August of each year at the Tam O'Shanter Country Club, in Niles, Illinois. The same course was the venue for the All American Open played the preceding week; both tournaments were instigated by course owner George S. May. In 1953, the championship was the first golf tournament to be shown live on national television, and happily for the promoters, ended in incredible fashion, with Lew Worsham holing a wedge shot from the fairway for eagle and victory.

It has been played annually since 1912 at a variety of courses around the state. It was considered a PGA Tour event in some years during the 1920s and 1930s.

Saucon Valley Country Club is a country club in Upper Saucon Township in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania near both Allentown and Bethlehem. Its facilities include three 18-hole golf courses and a six-hole beginners course.
The Detroit Golf Club is a private golf club located in Detroit, Wayne County, Michigan in the middle of a neighborhood area on north side of the city near the University of Detroit Mercy and Palmer Woods Historic District. Bert Way designed the original 6-hole course. It was expanded to 9 holes, and finally Donald Ross built the current 36-hole course. The club grounds crew maintains two courses, the North and the South Course. The head pro is Josh Upson. Starting in 2019, Detroit Golf Club began hosting the Rocket Mortgage Classic, a new annual PGA Tour event.

Perry Duke Maxwell was an American golf course architect. He was a founding member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and was an inductee into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. He was known as the "father of Oklahoma golf".
The Chicago Open was a golf tournament played in the Chicago area. A Chicago District Open was first held in 1914. From 1926 to 1928 it became a national event. It was held again from 1937 to 1941, although there was no event in 1939. The Hale America National Open Golf Tournament was held in Chicago in 1942 and the Chicago Victory Open was played from 1943 to 1948. It was revived again as the Gleneagles-Chicago Open Invitational in 1958 and 1959.
