Tammy Tan Hui Ling (born July 27, 2001) is a wushu taolu athlete from Malaysia. She won a gold medal at 2021 Summer World University Games in the qiangshu event which was also first gold medal for Malaysia in the World University Games. [1] [2] [3]
The 1960 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XVII Olympiad and commonly known as Rome 1960, were an international multi-sport event held from 25 August to 11 September 1960 in Rome, Italy. Datuk Tan Aik Huang is a Malaysian retired badminton player noted for his footwork and patience. He was a former All England Open champion, having won the men's singles title in 1966. Tan was a member of four Malaysian Thomas Cup teams including its world champion team of 1967. He also won numerous major international singles titles during the mid- and late 1960s including the Danish Open, the US Open, the Canadian Open, the Malaysian Open and the Singapore Open. Additionally, Tan holds the distinction of being the first Malaysian shuttler in the Commonwealth Games to win gold medals in two individual events. He is the elder brother of Tan Aik Mong.
Tan Zhongyi is a Chinese chess player who holds the title of grandmaster (GM). She is a former Women's World Champion, winning the 2017 knockout edition of the world championship in Iran where she defeated Anna Muzychuk in the final. Tan is also a former Women's World Rapid Champion. She is the three-time reigning Chinese women's national champion, and is a five-time national champion overall with titles in 2015, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade, was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade. Over 10,400 university athletes from 162 countries participated in 13 mandatory and 14 optional sports, making the 2013 Universiade the biggest ever in the history of the event. For the first time in history a Cultural Universiade was also included, with many festivals and shows held simultaneously with the sporting events. Tai Tzu-ying is a Taiwanese badminton player. At the age of 22, she became world No. 1 in the women's singles in December 2016, and she is the women's singles player who has held that title for the longest in BWF history, with 214 weeks. Tai was the women's singles silver medalist in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and the gold medalist in 2017 Summer Universiade and at the 2018 Asian Games. She has won the year-end tournament BWF Superseries/World Tour Finals four times, and the All England Open thrice as of 2020. Tan Wee Kiong is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He is well-known for his former partnership with Goh V Shem, which began at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Tan and Goh won the gold medal in the men's doubles and the mixed team event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. They also won bronze at the 2014 Asian Games. In their Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics, they won the silver medal, becoming the first Malaysian pair to achieve such a feat since 1996. In November 2016, they reached a career-high ranking of world number 1, making them the fourth ever Malaysian men's doubles pair to do so, after Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock, Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng, and Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong.
Goh V Shem is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He was partnered with Tan Wee Kiong after their outstanding performance at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Goh and Tan won the gold medal for the men's doubles event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as all their matches in the mixed team event, helping Malaysia retain the gold medal for the third consecutive time. They also won the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games and the silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, thus making them the second ever Malaysian men's doubles pair to win the silver medal at the Olympic Games 20 years after the feat was achieved by Cheah Soon Kit and Yap Kim Hock in 1996 Atlanta. Goh and Tan are also the fourth Malaysian men's doubles pair to hold the world number 1 ranking after Cheah and Yap followed by Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng, and later on by Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong ever since official rankings were kept in the 80s.
Choi Mi-sun is a South Korean recurve archer. She won gold medal in the women's team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Jessica Tan Wei Han is a Singaporean badminton player. Together with Terry Hee, they won their first BWF World Tour title as a duo at the 2022 India Open. Tan along with Hee also won the gold medal in the mixed doubles event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, a first for Singapore in that discipline at the Games. Jessica Tan and her husband Terry Hee were nominated for the Straits Times Singaporean of the Year Award 2022.
Aaron Chia Teng Fong is a Malaysian badminton player. He and his partner Soh Wooi Yik became the first ever world badminton champions from Malaysia after winning the men's doubles title at the 2022 World Championships. Together, they also won a gold medal at the 2019 SEA Games, a silver medal at the 2022 Asian Championships, as well as bronze medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2023 World Championships, and 2022 Asian Games.

Jasmine Lai Pui Yee is a Malaysian diver. She grew up in Perak, where she befriended future fellow Perak diving team member Kam Ling Kar. The pair took gold in the 3 metre springboard and 10 metre platform synchro events at the 2011 Asian Age Group Championships, while Lai won a gold medal in the 10 metre platform individual event. Lai and Kam and were initially scheduled to compete in diving at the Southeast Asian Games that same year, but in the end Lai did not participate. Lai won her first gold medal for Perak in the 1 metre springboard event at the 2012 Sukma Games. At the 2014 Sukma Games, she again partnered with Kam for the 3 metre springboard synchro event, where the pair won a gold medal; Lai subsequently edged out Kam to win a gold medal in the 1 metre springboard event as well. Lai and Kam also competed in diving at the 2015 Summer Universiade. In diving at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Lai won a silver in the 1 metre springboard event, and the gold medal in the mixed 3 metre springboard synchro with Muhammad Syafiq Puteh after fellow Malaysian Ng Yan Yee failed a doping test and was stripped of the gold medal in the latter event. Lai competed in the women's 1 metre springboard and 3 metre springboard events at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. At the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, she placed second in the 3 metre springboard event behind Ng, with a score of 241.95. She retired from the national team in February 2020 to focus on her studies for her final term of university.
