Tangari is a village in the Selau district of Bougainville, Papua New Guinea. It is located in north-western Bouganville near the Chabai Catholic mission.
It is one of the model villages covered by the Bougainville Healthy Community Programme (BHCP). [1]

Even though the strait is narrow, there is no bridge across it, but there is a regular ferry service between the key settlements on either side. The main airport in the north is in the town of Buka.
