India competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. A total of 83 athletes, 60 men and 23 women, competed in 13 sports. Men's field hockey was the only team-based sport in which India had its representation in these Olympic Games. India also marked its Olympic return in weightlifting, after the International Weightlifting Federation imposed a two-year suspension for the nation's athletes in Beijing because of a doping scandal.
Wrestling at the 2012 Summer Olympics were held between 5 and 12 August, the final day of the Games, at ExCeL London. It was split into two disciplines, Freestyle and Greco-Roman which were further divided into different weight categories. Men competed in both disciplines whereas women only took part in the freestyle events, with 18 gold medals awarded. Wrestling has been contested at every modern Summer Olympic Games, except Paris 1900.

Kim Hyung-joo is a South Korean freestyle wrestler. In the women's 48 kg freestyle wrestling event at the 2008 Summer Olympics, she reached the quarter-finals, losing to Carol Huynh. She competed in the freestyle 48 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated in the 1/8 finals by Iryna Merleni.
Patricia Alejandra Bermúdez is an Argentine freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 48 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated in the qualifications by Iwona Matkowska. She won the bronze medal at the 2011 Pan American Games.
Valeria Sergeyevna Koblova, née Zholobova is a Russian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 55 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics; she advanced to the bronze medal match, where she was defeated by Yuliya Ratkevich. At the 2014 World Wrestling Championships she lost in the final match to 10-time World champion and 4-time Olympic champion Kaori Icho. At the 2016 Summer Olympics she lost in the gold medal match to Kaori Icho. She is Grand Master of Sports in freestyle wrestling.
Lissette Alexandra Antes Castillo is an Ecuadorian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 55 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics; she defeated Olga Butkevych in the 1/8 finals and was eliminated by Jackeline Rentería in the quarterfinals. She competed in the women's lightweight event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, but was defeated by Mariana Cherdivara in the first round.
Marwa Al-Amri is a Tunisian freestyle wrestler. She was born in Tunis. She represented Tunisia in the women's lightweight freestyle competition at the 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. She is the first woman from Africa win an Olympic medal in wrestling.
Marcia Yuleisi Andrades Mendoza is a Venezuelan freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 55 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated by Valeria Zholobova in the qualifications. At the 2008 Olympics, she lost to Ludmila Cristea at the same stage. Andrades was born in Cumaná, Venezuela.
Ochirbatyn Burmaa is a Mongolian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the freestyle 72 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics; she defeated Leah Callahan in the 1/8 finals and was eliminated by Maider Unda in the quarterfinals. She also competed in this weight category at the 2004 Summer Olympics, where she finished in 10th place.
Jargalsaikhany Chuluunbat is a Mongolian freestyle wrestler. He competed in the freestyle 120 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and in the freestyle 125 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics; he defeated Malal Ndiaye in the 1/8 finals and was eliminated by Bilyal Makhov in the quarterfinals.
Orgodolyn Üitümen is a Mongolian freestyle wrestler who won a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games. He competed in the freestyle 84 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated by Dato Marsagishvili in the 1/8 finals. At the 2015 World Wrestling Championships, he lost to Abdulrashid Sadulaev in round of 16. At the 2016 Olympics, he lost his first bout to Mihail Ganev.
Purevjavyn Unurbat is a Mongolian freestyle wrestler. He competed in the freestyle 74 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated by Davit Khutsishvili in the qualifications. At the 2016 Olympics, he lost to Soner Demirtaş in his first match.
