Tariq Marquese Carpenter (born December 28, 1998) is an American professional football linebacker for the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Georgia Tech [1] and previously played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Green Bay Packers

Carpenter was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round (228th overall) of the 2022 NFL draft. [4] On May 6, 2022, he signed his rookie contract. [5] He was released on August 30, 2023. [6]

Pittsburgh Steelers

On September 2, 2023, Carpenter was signed to the practice squad of the Pittsburgh Steelers. [7] He appeared in three games for the Steelers, logging one solo tackle and one assisted tackle. On December 17, Carpenter was released by Pittsburgh following his arrest the same day. [8]

San Antonio Brahmas

Carpenter signed with the San Antonio Brahmas of the UFL on September 26, 2024. [9]

On December 17, 2023, Carpenter was arrested in Pittsburgh after allegedly throwing a woman to the ground and holding her against her will, and charged with simple assault. [10]
