Taste of Love is a 2014 Nigerian telenovela, created by Globacom and aired on Africa Magic and STV. [1] On release, it was reported to be the first Nigerian telenova. [2] The complete season featured 150 episodes that began airing in October 2014. [3]

The series is centered on the interrelationships between the families of Musa-Phillips, Pepples and Rhodes. [4]

Reception

For their roles as "Hadiza" and "Kelechi", Makida Moka and Blossom received "television actress of the year" and "television actor of the year" nominations at the 2015 Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards. The series was also nominated for TV series of the year category, but lost to Super Story . [5] [6]

The first season of Gidi Up was originally broadcast on ndani.tv in 2013; the first episode aired on 20 February 2013 and the concluding episode on 16 April 2013. The season is directed by Jadesola Osiberu and it consists of eight episodes, each with a length of not more than ten minutes. The season shows "how Tokunbo, Eki, Yvonne and Obi deal with love, sex and making a living in one of Africa's biggest cities". The second season of the series however has a length of thirty minutes per episode and was broadcast on television; all the episodes of season 1 was combined as a 52-minute pilot episode for the second season on television.

In 2022, he returned to screen with a lead role in the Netflix Original movie, Man of God, as Samuel Obalolu.
