Tayvion Robinson is an American football wide receiver for the Kentucky Wildcats. He previously played for the Virginia Tech Hokies.
Robinson attended high school at Frank W. Cox. Coming out of high school, Robinson held offers from schools such as Maryland, Ohio State, Nebraska, Virginia, and South Carolina. [1] Robinson ultimately decided to commit to play college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies. [2] [3]
In Robinson's freshman season with the Hokies in 2019, he totaled 31 receptions for 404 yards and a touchdown, while also adding 132 rushing yards. [4] In the 2020 season, Robinson made 38 catches for 592 yards and three touchdown, while also rushing for 48 yards. [5] During the 2021 season, Robinson tallied 44 receptions for 559 yards and five touchdowns. [6] After the conclusion of the 2021 season, Robinson decided to enter the NCAA transfer portal. [7] [8]
Robinson finished his career at Virginia Tech with 113 receptions for 1,155 yards and nine touchdowns, while also rushing for 227 yards in 29 carries. [9]
Robinson decided to transfer to play for the Kentucky Wildcats. [10] [11] In Robinson's debut with Kentucky, he hauled in six receptions for 136 yards in a win over Miami Ohio. [12] In week four of the 2022 season, Robinson made seven catches for 147 yards and two touchdowns, as he helped the Wildcats beat Northern Illinois. [13] During Robinson's first season with the Wildcats in 2022 he hauled in 40 receptions for 497 yards and three touchdowns, while also adding 38 rushing yards. [14] During the 2023 season, Robinson brought in 37 receptions for 507 yards and four touchdowns. [15] After the conclusion of the 2023 season, Robinson declared for the 2024 NFL draft. [16]

André N. Davis is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver and kick returner in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Virginia Tech, earning first-team All-American honors in 2000. He was selected by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2002 NFL Draft. Davis also played for the New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans in his career. While playing for Virginia Tech Davis appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
William Percival Harvin III is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Florida Gators, who won the BCS National Championship in 2006 and 2008. A two-time first-team All-American, he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft. Harvin also played for the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. He was named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2009 and won Super Bowl XLVIII with the Seahawks in 2013 over the Denver Broncos. Tyrod Diallo Taylor is an American football quarterback for the New York Jets of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for Virginia Tech, leading the Hokies to the 2009 Orange Bowl as a sophomore and 2011 Orange Bowl during his senior year. He was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft and served as the backup to starting quarterback Joe Flacco, including during the Ravens' Super Bowl XLVII victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
The 2000 Sugar Bowl was the designated Bowl Championship Series (BCS) National Championship Game for the 1999 NCAA Division I-A football season and was played on January 4, 2000, at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. The Florida State Seminoles, representing the Atlantic Coast Conference, defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies, representing the Big East Conference, by a score of 46–29. With the win, Florida State clinched the 1999 BCS national championship, the team's second national championship in its history.
William Edward Royal is an American former football wide receiver and return specialist. He was selected by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2008 NFL draft. He played college football for the Virginia Tech Hokies and was elected to its sports hall of fame in 2018. Royal has also played for the San Diego Chargers and Chicago Bears.
The 2003 Insight Bowl was a post-season American college football bowl game between the Virginia Tech Hokies and the California Golden Bears at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix, Arizona, on December 26, 2003. The game was the final contest of the 2003 NCAA Division I-A football season for both teams, and ended in a 52–49 victory for California. Virginia Tech and Cal combined for 101 points; only the 2001 GMAC Bowl saw more points scored by two teams in a bowl game without overtime.
