The Tecumseh Branch Connecting Railroad is a railroad originally built by the Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railroad. [1] It was acquired by the Adrian and Blissfield Rail Road in Lenawee County, Michigan. [2] The Adrian and Blissfield Rail Road filed to abandon the Tecumseh Branch Connecting Railroad as of June 2010. [3]

According to the President of the Tecumseh Branch Connecting Railroad, Mark W. Dobronski, the company has not yet been dissolved. He says that the company is an inactive corporation. It has no bank accounts. It owns no real property. It owns no personal property. It has no account receivable. It has no accounts payable. It is conducting no business at this time. [4]

TBCR has not yet been dissolved as the corporation is waiting an appropriate period of time to honor any outstanding claims which may exist against it, if any, and to conduct an orderly winding down of the business and, ultimately, dissolution of the company. During the time it was operating the TBCR never had any employees, with all services provided by the employees of the ADBF. [4]

The Chicago and North Western Transportation Company was a Class I railroad in the Midwestern United States. It was also known as the "North Western". The railroad operated more than 5,000 miles (8,000 km) of track as of the turn of the 20th century, and over 12,000 miles (19,000 km) of track in seven states before retrenchment in the late 1970s. Until 1972, when the employees purchased the company, it was named the Chicago and North Western Railway.

Millstone and New Brunswick Railroad

The Millstone and New Brunswick Railroad (M&NB) was chartered in the mid-19th century as a seven-mile long branch line from New Brunswick, New Jersey to East Millstone, New Jersey. Construction was completed and the line began operation on December 19, 1854. In 1871, under the order of the company's president Martin Howell, the M&NB signed a 999-year lease with the United Jersey Railroad Company, which would later become part of the Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) known as the "Millstone Branch." In 1915, the company was dissolved and became part of the United Jersey Railroad Company.

The Indiana Northeastern Railroad Company began operations in December 1992 and is an independent privately owned company. As of 2017 the railroad hauled more than 7,000 carloads per year. Commodities moved by the railroad include corn, soybeans, wheat and flour. It also handles plastics, fiberboard, aluminum, copper, coal, perlite, stone, lumber, glass, rendering products, as well as agricultural fertilizers and chemicals.

The Watertown Branch Railroad was a branch loop of the Fitchburg Railroad that was meant to serve the town of Watertown and the City of Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, as an independent short line railroad; it also serviced the Watertown Arsenal. The line has been formally abandoned and portions are being converted into a rail trail, the Watertown-Cambridge Greenway. A section from School Street to Arlington Street in Watertown has been completed. A small portion in Waltham has been converted into a park called Chemistry Station Park after the railroad station once located there. Construction of an extension to Fresh Pond Reservation in Cambridge began in the summer of 2018 and is expected to be completed in 2021.

Charlotte Southern Rail Road is a short line railroad operating in Michigan. It connects Charlotte, Michigan, with the CN rail system. It is a freight system, but its main customer has not received rail traffic since the early 2000s. It is operated by the Adrian and Blissfield Rail Road Company.

Chesapeake Beach Railway

The Chesapeake Beach Railway (CBR), now defunct, was an American railroad of southern Maryland and Washington, D.C., built in the 19th century. The CBR ran 27.629 miles from Washington, D.C., on tracks formerly owned by the Southern Maryland Railroad and then on its own single track through Maryland farm country to a resort at Chesapeake Beach. It was built by Otto Mears, a Colorado railroad builder, who planned a shoreline resort with railroad service from Washington and Baltimore. It served Washington and Chesapeake Beach for almost 35 years, but the Great Depression and the rise of the automobile marked the end of the CBR. The last train left the station on April 15, 1935. Parts of the right-of-way are now used for roads and a future rail trail.

Tecumseh Downtown Historic District United States historic place

The Tecumseh Downtown Historic District is a historic district comprising the downtown commercial area of the city of Tecumseh in Lenawee County, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan Historic Site on January 16, 1976 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 1986.
