Drew has led his teams to the NCAA tournament on six occasions, including at least once at each of the three schools where he has been the head coach.
Jack "Goose" Givens is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats, earning consensus second-team All-American honors. He led the team to the 1978 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship and was named that year's Final Four Most Outstanding Player due in most part to his 41-point performance in Kentucky's 94–88 victory over Duke in the championship game. The Akita Northern Happinets are a Japanese professional basketball team based in Akita that competes in the Eastern Conference of the First Division of the B.League. The team was formed as an expansion team of the bj league in 2010 and found success for the first time in 2013–14, finishing their fourth season as league runners-up. They went on to finish as runners-up for the second year in a row in 2014–15 and in third place in 2015–16, the final season of the bj league.
Leo Lyons is an American professional basketball player for Altiri Chiba of the B3 League. Lyons was born in Topeka, Kansas, and went to high school at Coastal Christian Academy and Piper High School. At both of these high schools, he excelled on the basketball teams. He went to the University of Missouri for college and played four seasons of basketball before going undrafted in the 2010 NBA draft.
Oliver Wall Kuhn, nicknamed "Doc Kuhn", was an American football, baseball and basketball player for the Vanderbilt University Commodores and later a prominent businessman of Tampa, Florida. As a college football quarterback, Kuhn led Vanderbilt to three consecutive Southern titles in 1921, 1922, and 1923 – the most-recent conference titles for Vanderbilt football. In 1922, Vanderbilt tied Michigan at the dedication of Dudley Field, and Kuhn was picked for Walter Camp's list of names worthy of mention and Billy Evans' All-America "National Honor Roll."

CNA Arena Akita is an arena in Rinkai-area, Akita, Japan. It is owned and run by the city. Cable Networks Akita acquired its naming rights in 2015. The silver-colored building opened in 1994 and holds 5,000 people. The gym has a dome-shaped 154 feet height ceiling, and added 2,088 extra seatings in 2016. It is the home arena of the Akita Northern Happinets of the B.League, Japan's professional basketball league. The biggest basketball court in Akita is Akita Prefectural Gymnasium.
Clarksville High School is a public high school located in Clarksville in Montgomery County, Tennessee. It is part of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. The original building was built in 1906 but the school moved to the current building in 1968. Clarksville High School holds the CMCSS Business Academy which provides an open enrollment option for entering freshmen in Montgomery County. Its mascot is Wiley the Wildcat. The school colors are purple and gold, and the sports teams wear purple and gold with some black. Athletics are part of the TSSAA. The School meets expectations for the standardized tests and ACT's.
Kadeem D'Arby Coleby, nicknamed KC, is a Bahamian professional basketball player who last played for the Akita Northern Happinets of the B.League in Japan. He is one of the league-leading skilled shot blockers. He fractured both kneecaps during the game on February 10, 2021.

Mototaka Kohama was a Japanese basketball Head coach for the Akita Isuzu Motors, Isuzu Motors Lynx/Giga Cats and Yokohama Giga Cats. He was known as the “Godfather of Japanese basketball,” and served as head coach of the Japan national basketball team three times. Growing up in Akita during WWII as a young boy, he was told to stop playing basketball because it was an American sport. The pioneer studied basketball coaching at the University of Kentucky.
Lucius Cecil Davis is an American former professional basketball player who played the forward position. He played for the Isuzu GigaCats in Japan, and for Maccabi Rishon LeZion in the Israeli Basketball Premier League. He was the top scorer in the 2004 Israel Basketball Premier League.
