Teenage Jesus is the debut DIY release from one-member synth-punk band The Emotron.

History

Teenage Jesus is the first album released by The Emotron. It was recorded in 2005 and released in 2006, and was the only The Emotron album to be released on Death By Karaoke. [1] The album came about when The Emotron played with Chicago Synth-Pop Act The Mystechs, Singer/Label Owner Emil Hyde asked The Emotron if they would like to record and put out a DIY release on his label Death By Karaoke Records. In November 2005 The Emotron began recording Teenage Jesus in a home studio in North Georgia (U.S. state). The Album came out on The Mystechs and The Emotron tour in Mid 2006. Only 200 Copies of Teenage Jesus Were Made. All songs were written by Emil Hyde.

Manes is a band from Trondheim, Norway, formed in 1993. They started out as a two-piece band composed of Sargatanas and Cernunnus. Mystechs is an electronic/punk music group formed in 1998 in Chicago, Illinois. The band's lineup consists of keyboardist/songwriter Emil Hyde joined by a host of other musicians and collaborators. Their music covers a wide range of genres from indie rock to new wave, hip hop and heavy metal. The Mystechs began as an electronica group, gradually incorporating other genres to their sound. Hyde says of the band, "Mystechs began as a nice, normal, female-fronted trip-hop group like Portishead or Esthero".

Cyanotic is known for its genre-blending work, which fuses traditional industrial beats and vocals with drum n bass, sampling and heavy metal to create a hard, aggressive sound. The band's lyrics contain many tongue-in-cheek references to transhumanism.
