Tehran International Film Festival was an annual festival that was held in Iran before the Iranian Revolution. [1]

Details

In this festival, selected films of Iranian cinema competed alongside works from other countries. [2]

The first period of the festival was held in 1973 and the last period (the sixth period) was held in 1977, which was closed after the revolution and after 4 years, it was held simultaneously with the Fajr International Film Festival. [3]

Tehran International Film Festival was held with the support of Farah Pahlavi's special office. [4]

23 People is a 2019 drama war film based on the novel 23 People. The film was directed by Mehdi Jafari and sponsored by Owj Arts and Media Organization in Tehran. Yusefzadeh and some of the other teen captives attended the movie along with the cast and crew. Yusefzadeh said, “We were absolutely thrilled with this movie.... By watching the film, we didn’t know whether to cry or to be happy, because everything was very real in the film.”

SETiN is an Iranian short film with a social theme, directed and written by Asghar Abbasi. This film deals with the social issues of Iranian culture. Siamak Atlasi is one of the actors of this movie. Setin was nominated for the best film at the HECare Film Festival in Canada.

The script of the short film Nasukh is taken from the book Nasukh written by Mohammad Rasouli.
