Gadkari is closely associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), which is headquartered in his home constituency of Nagpur. He currently represents the Nagpur constituency in the Lok Sabha, and is a lawyer by occupation. During the cabinet reshuffle on 7 July 2021 the portfolio for Ministry of MSME which was under him was reassigned to Narayan Rane, another BJP MP from Maharashtra as a part of cabinet expansion.

Sunil Panjabrao Deshmukh is the Member of Legislative Assembly from the constituency of Amravati, Maharashtra, India. He is a member of Indian National Congress (INC). In 2009, he was expelled from the Indian National Congress due to his rebellion in the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha election, 2009 when he was denied a ticket to contest the election from his Amravati constituency in order to accommodate Mr. Raosaheb Shekhawat, the son of then President of India, Pratibha Patil. He was also the Minister of State for Finance and Planning, Public Works and Energy in the cabinet of the Government of Maharashtra (2004-2009). Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis is an Indian politician serving as the 9th and current Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra since 30 June 2022. He served as the 18th Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 31 October 2014 to 12 November 2019. Having been sworn in at the age of 44, he's the second-youngest Chief Minister in Maharashtra's history after Sharad Pawar. He served a 5-day long second term as Chief Minister during the 2019 Maharashtra political crisis, before resigning on 28 November 2019. On 30 June 2022, he took oath as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, following the 2022 Maharashtra political crisis. He is an activist with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Fadnavis represents the Nagpur South West constituency in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

In 2009 he created a major upset defeating 5 time MLA Satish Chaturvedi of the Indian National Congress. Khopde was a corporator in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation and a standing committee chairman. Khopde is a high school dropout.

Nagpur Central Assembly constituency is one of the 288 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Maharashtra state, western India. It is one of the six assembly seats which make up Nagpur Lok Sabha seat. The Constituency Number is 55. This constituency is located in the Nagpur district. The delimitation of the constituency happened in 2008. It comprises parts of Nagpur Taluka, and Ward No. 66, 92 to 98, 109 to 119 and 121 to 129. of Nagpur Municipal Corporation.

Sudhakar Shamrao Deshmukh was a member of the 13th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. He represented the Nagpur West Assembly Constituency. He belongs to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Deshmukh was also member of the 12th Assembly (2009–2014). Deshmukh was the president of Indian National Congress's (INC) Nagpur district committee. Deshmukh, then with the Indian National Congress, was member of Maharashtra Legislative Council from 1991 to 1996. He joined the BJP in 2000 and was the president of BJP's Nagpur city unit in 2007. Deshmukh is a commerce graduate from Nagpur University.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election</span> Assembly election in Maharashtra

The 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October 2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. After a 61.4% turnout in the election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (SHS) won a majority. Following differences over the government formation, the alliance was dissolved, precipitating a political crisis. Since a council of ministers had not been formed after no party could manage to form the government, President's rule was imposed in the state. On 23 November 2019, Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister. However both of them resigned on 26 November 2019 before the floor test and on 28 November 2019, Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress formed the government under a new alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), with Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister. Subsequently, Uddhav Thackeray had to resign due to the Shiv Sena being split which was led by Eknath Shinde. Eknath Shinde is currently the Chief Minister with a BJP-Shiv Sena alliance with BJP's Devendra Fadnavis as the deputy Chief Minister.
