Tele Images Productions (formerly Tele Images Kids) was a French television production company established in 1985 by Simone Harari that produces children's television programs in animation and live-action, with Philippe Alessandri joining in 1998 to spearhead animation production.

Contents

The company became part of Marathon Group in 2006, which was then acquired by Zodiak Media in 2008 and subsequently placed under Zodiak Kids Studios in 2011 until it was merged into its final parent in 2016.

History

In January 2006, Groupe Tele Images merged with Marathon Media to form Marathon Group, with founder Simone Harari stepping down in the process.

In July 2007, De Agostini purchased Marathon Group, which included Tele Images, and merged it with Zodiak Television in November 2008 to form Zodiak Media. [1] [2] [3]

In September 2010, Tele Images Kids rebranded as Tele Images Productions. [4]

In February 2011, Zodiak regrouped Tele Images alongside fellow French studio Marathon Media and British studio The Foundation under Zodiak Kids. [5]

In November 2014, Philippe Alessandri left Tele Images after 16 years with the company, and was succeeded by Benoît Runel as managing director. [6]

In 2016, Banijay merged with Zodiak, with Banijay as the surviving entity. [7] Tele Images was merged into Zodiak Kids Studios shortly afterwards.

The company was originally founded as Marathon Productions, by Olivier Brémond and Pascal Breton in February 1990, and Vincent Chalvon-Demersay joined the team in 1999 to develop Marathon's animation programming, along with David Michel. The company is best known for the animated series Totally Spies! and LoliRock.

The Unstoppable Yellow Yeti is an animated television series created by Anttu Harlin and Joonas Utti that aired on Disney Channel in France from May 14 to December 18, 2022, and released in Finland on Yle Areena from July 1, 2022 to January 6, 2023. The series is a co-production between Gigglebug Entertainment and Zodiak Kids Studio France, with the participation of Disney Channel and YLE for Walt Disney EMEA Productions Limited.
