Gaumont Animation (formerly known as Alphanim and Gaumont Alphanim)^[2]^[4] is a French animation studio founded in February 1997 by Christian Davin.^[1] It was acquired by Gaumont Film Company in 2008 as a return to television and animation production; it is an entry into English-language productions, after Gaumont Television was sold in 1999 and Gaumont Multimedia's assets were acquired in 2000 by Xilam.^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8] The studio was rebranded as Gaumont Animation in 2013.^[9] The company's animated catalog comprises over 800 half-hours, broadcast in over 130 countries.^[10]

Its productions include Mona the Vampire , Robotboy , Galactik Football , Calimero , Noddy, Toyland Detective (after the rights were acquired from DreamWorks Animation in 2013),^[2] Trulli Tales , Belle and Sebastian ,^[11] Furiki Wheels , F is for Family, and Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles . Film projects in development include Plunder and a musical adaptation of Paul McCartney's novel High in the Clouds .

In June 2023, Gaumont signed a first-look deal with Studio 100, a Belgian company which will co-produce series with and distribute Gaumont Animation's catalogue worldwide.^[12]

The Gaumont Film Company, often shortened to Gaumont, is a French film studio headquartered in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. Founded by the engineer-turned-inventor Léon Gaumont (1864–1946) in 1895, it is the oldest extant film company in the world, established before other studios such as Pathé, Titanus (1904), Nordisk Film (1906), Universal, Paramount, and Nikkatsu.

Mainframe Studios is a Canadian animation company owned by Wow Unlimited Media and based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Founded in 1993 as Mainframe Entertainment Inc. by Christopher Brough, Ian Pearson, Phil Mitchell, Gavin Blair and John Grace, the company established itself as a leading contributor to the introduction of computer-generated imagery (CGI) live action in animation, film and television.

Atomic Cartoons, Inc. is a Canadian animation studio founded in 1999 by Trevor Bentley, Mauro Casalese, Olaf Miller, and former Warner Bros. Animation employee Rob Davies. Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, it produces service animation for a wide variety of clients, as well as creating its own properties. Since 2015, the company has been owned by Thunderbird Entertainment.

Xilam is a French animation studio which specializes in making animated television series and feature films. Marc du Pontavice and his wife Alix founded it in 1999 as a replacement for the animation division of Gaumont Multimédia, which was itself an offshoot of the company's television division Gaumont Télévision, a company he co-founded in 1990. Gaumont continued to have a deal with Xilam until 2003. Gaumont Multimédia was a video game publisher until closing in 2004.

Tooncan was an animation studio based in Montreal, Quebec founded by Paul Cadieux. The company has worked on TF1's The Bellflower Bunnies and Sylvain Chomet's The Triplets of Belleville.

9 Story Media Group Inc. is a Canadian media production, animation studio, and distribution company founded in September 2002 by Vince Commisso, Steve Jarosz, and Blake Tohana.

TeamTO is an independent French animation studio that produces TV series and film projects. Headquartered in Paris, it has a second production facility in Bourg-les-Valence, with offices in Los Angeles, California, U.S., Beijing, China and London, England, United Kingdom. The studio was founded in 2005 by Guillaume Hellouin, Corinne Kouper and Caroline Souris.

SantApprentice is an animated television series in 50 episodes of 12 minutes and two 26 minute episodes created by Belgian animator Jan Van Rijsselberge and produced by Alphanim in 2006. Kartoon Studios, Inc., formerly known as Genius Brands International (GBI), is an entertainment company headed by Andy Heyward. The company was formed from the merger of Genius Brands International and A Squared Entertainment.

WildBrain Studios is the in-house television studio arm of Canadian entertainment company WildBrain based in Vancouver, British Columbia, which was established in 2016 as DHX Studios.

<i>Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles</i> Animated action-comedy series

Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles is an animated television series developed by Candie and Doug Langdale. The show is loosely based on the Usagi Yojimbo comic books by Stan Sakai. Unlike its source material where the comics takes place in the past, the show takes place in the future and Miyamoto Usagi is not the lead protagonist, the character instead appearing in a minor role, with Yuki Matsuzaki reprising his role from the 2012 version of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
