Rafael Solano Sánchez is a Dominican pianist, songwriter, composer, arranger, author, and former Dominican ambassador to UNESCO. He is credited with writing over a hundred songs of various genres that include romantic, folk, as well as choral, religious, and merengue music. His most famous love song, "Por Amor", has been translated into several languages and performed by renowned artists, such as Marco Antonio Muñiz, Vicki Carr, Jon Secada, the Mariachi Vargas, and Plácido Domingo.

The novel won the International Novel Prize of the Casa de Teatro in 1996. In 2013, a street in Santo Domingo was named in her honour.
The Association of Church Librarians in Spain is a Spanish public association of a non-profit nature, founded in 1993 by the Episcopal Conference of Spain, for the defense, conservation, and diffusion of the bibliographic heritage of the Church in Spain. It is one of the 20 associations and professional associations members of the Spanish Federation of Archival, Library, Documentation, and Museum Societies. The Association is also a member of BETH - European Libraries of Theology. ABIE currently has about 60 members.
José Gregorio Castro Miranda, O.F.M., was a Roman Catholic prelate who was Bishop of Cuzco from 1910 to 1917. He mainly worked to integrate the local indigenous population to the church's teachings by translating prayers and church music to Quechua.
