Tengana Festival

Tengana Festival is an annual festival celebrated by the chiefs and people of Tongo Traditional Area. [1] [2] It comprises Balungu, Winkongo and Pwalugu in the Upper East Region of Ghana. [3] [4] It is also a festival of the Talensis. [5] [6] It is celebrated in January. [7]

During the festival, there is traditional music and dancing whiles there is also general merry-making. [8] [9]

This festival is a thanksgiving festival. [10]
