The mixed doubles tennis event of the 2023 Pan American Games was held from October 25 to 28 at the Tennis and Racket Sports Training Centre in Santiago, Chile. [1]
Yuliana Lizarazo and Nicolás Barrientos from Colombia won the gold medal, defeating Brazil's Luisa Stefani and Marcelo Demoliner in the final, 6–3, 6–4. [2]
Argentina's Martina Capurro and Facundo Díaz Acosta won the bronze medal, defeating Romina Ccuno and Conner Huertas del Pino from Peru in the bronze-medal match, 6–1, 6–4. [2] [3]
Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can enter up to one pair (two players) for the mixed doubles tournament. There are 16 pairs places (32 players) in the event. Mixed doubles teams will be selected from athletes who have been accepted for the singles and/or doubles events. [4]
The definitive entry list was published on 21 October 2023 and 13 pairs entered the tournament. The seeding was defined by the combined doubles ranking of pairs. The top 3 seed pairs received a Bye in the first round and advanced directly to the Quarterfinals. The remaining ten pairs started in the round of 16. [5] [6]
Julio Leonardo Peralta Martínez is an inactive professional tennis player from Chile. Peralta has found success in the late stage of his career, reaching no. 29 in the ATP rankings in doubles. He captured six doubles titles at ATP World Tour and one singles challenger title. He went on hiatus from 2005 to 2007, from 2009 to 2011, from 2012 to 2014 and from 2018 to 2022.
Marcelo Fedrizzi Demoliner is a Brazilian professional tennis player, who specializes in doubles. He reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 34 in November 2017. Demoliner has won five doubles titles.

Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury defeated Giuliana Olmos and Marcelo Arévalo in the final, 7–5, 6–2 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. By winning the title, Krawczyk and Salisbury received their third and second major mixed doubles title, respectively. Their victory together made Krawczyk the first player to win three consecutive mixed doubles major trophies since Mahesh Bhupathi in 2005 and 2006, and the seventh player in the Open Era to win three mixed doubles titles in a single season. Salisbury became the first man to win both the men's doubles and mixed doubles titles at the US Open in the same year since Bob Bryan in 2010.
Julio Peralta and Horacio Zeballos were the defending champions when the event was last held in 2015, but they chose not to defend their title.
Defending champions Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeated Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in the final, 7–6(7–4), 7–5 to win the men's doubles tennis title at the 2022 US Open. They became the second team in the Open Era to defend the US Open title, after Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde in 1996. It was both men's fifth major title.
