Teodor Vasile (born 16 August 1947) is a retired Romanian cyclist. He competed at the 1972 and 1980 Summer Olympics in the individual road race and finished in 60th place in 1972. [1] He won one stage of the Peace Race in 1977. [2]

The Fântâna Albă massacre took place on 1 April 1941 in Northern Bukovina when up to 3,000 civilians were killed by Soviet Border Troops as they attempted to cross the border from the Soviet Union to Romania near the village of Fântâna Albă, now Staryi Vovchynets in Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine. Although according to Soviet official reports, no more than 44 civilians were killed, but local witnesses assert a much higher toll, stating that survivors were tortured, killed, or buried in mass graves. Others were taken away to be tortured and killed at the hands of the NKVD, the Soviet secret police. Some sources have referred to the massacre as "the Romanian Katyn".
Clubul Sportiv Viitorul Minerul Lupeni, commonly known as Minerul Lupeni, is a Romanian football club based in Lupeni, Hunedoara County which competes in Liga IV – Hunedoara County, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. Established in 1920 as Jiul Lupeni, the club changed its name several times to Partizanul (1950), Flacăra (1951), Minerul and Energia (1956). Dissolved in 2010, the club from Jiu Valley was re-founded as Viitorul Minerul Lupeni in 2021.

With a new manager, Ion Nunweiller, Dinamo competed with Universitatea Craiova for the championship until the last day, winning the title after a defeat suffered by Craiova away at UTA. In the Romanian Cup, Dinamo was eliminated by the third division side Constructorul Galaţi.

Dudu Georgescu won the European Golden Boot for the second time, with a record number of goals – 47, scoring 56% of the team's goals. In the UEFA Cup, Dinamo played against another "sacred monster" – AC Milan – with Fabio Capello and Collovatti on its side: 0–0 and 1–2.
The 1977–78 season was FC Dinamo București's 29th season in Divizia A. Dinamo lost Radu Nunweiller and Mircea Lucescu who both went to Corvinul Hunedoara. Because of these losses, Dinamo could not fight for the championship, and finished only fifth. In the European Cup, Dinamo wins a thrilling game against Atlético Madrid 2–1, but loses in Madrid, 2–0.
