Terap Adoum Yaya (born October 10, 1974) is a middle distance athlete who competed internationally for Chad. [1]
Yaya first represented Chad at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, where he competed in the 800 metres. He finished 6th in his heat and did not qualify for the next round. [2]
At the 1993 World Championships in Athletics, Yaya entered in the 800 m. He ran 1:53.61 to finish 4th in his heat, failing to advance. [3]
Yaya won his first international medal at the 1995 Central African Athletics Championships in Yaoundé. In the 800 m, he ran 1:54.6 to win bronze. [4]
He competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, again in the 800 metres. He finished 7th in his heat. [5] At the 1995 Central African Championships in N'Djamena, Yaya won the 800 m silver medal. [4]
The following year, Yaya qualified for the 1997 World Championships in Athletics in the 800 m. At the championships, he ran 1:54.01 to finish 7th. At another meeting hin 1997, he set his 800 m personal best of 1:49.75. [1]
