Timothy Tau is a Taiwanese-American writer, engineer, attorney, law professor and filmmaker. Tau won the 2011 Hyphen Asian American Writers' Workshop Short Story Contest for his short story, "The Understudy", which was published in the Winter 2011 issue of Hyphen magazine, Issue No. 24, the "Survival Issue." Tau also won Second Prize in the 2010 Playboy College Fiction Contest for his short story, "Land of Origin". He has also directed a number of short films and music videos that have screened at various film festivals worldwide and on YouTube.
Byron Q is an American filmmaker, director and writer. His film production company is known as "Beyond Cinema Productions." His debut feature film, Bang Bang (2011), which won a Special Jury Award for Best First Feature, Narrative, at the 2011 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival. The film also starred Thai Ngo, David Huynh, Jessika Van, Walter Wong, Yen Ly, Vanna Fut and Peter Chanhthavongsak. He has also Directed and Written a Web Series entitled "Hollywood Aliens," starring David Huynh, who also appeared in Bang Bang. He has directed and written a documentary about Bang Bang cast member Vanna Fut entitled Raskal Love. He has recently finished shooting a feature film set in Las Vegas entitled Las Vegas Story.
Koji Steven Sakai is an American screenwriter and producer. He has written the screenplay for The People I've Slept With (2009), a romantic comedy film directed by Quentin Lee and starring Karin Anna Cheung and Archie Kao as well as Wilson Cruz, Lynn Chen, Randall Park, James Shigeta and more. He also served as a producer for that film as well. Sakai has also co-written the screenplay for a horror film entitled The Haunted Highway (2006) along with Naoko Ihara Witmer and directed by Junichi Suzuki, which was distributed by Lions Gate DVD in 2005. In 2013, he wrote and produced the "first Asian American serial killer film" entitled Chink, starring Jason Tobin, Eugenia Yuan, Tzi Ma and more, which was directed by Stanley Yung and produced by Quentin Lee. For Chink, lead actor Jason Tobin won a Special Jury Prize for Best Actor or "Breakout Performance" at the 2013 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival.
