The Terra Firma Dyip first participated in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) draft on August 24, 2014, two months before their first PBA season. The Dyip (then-known as Kia Sorento) entered the league through expansion together with Blackwater Elite.
Manny Pacquiao became the team's first draft choice, the 11th pick in the 2014 PBA draft.

The Philippine Basketball Association draft is an annual event dating back to 1985 in which the twelve teams from the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) can draft players who are eligible and wish to join the league. The draft usually takes place between October to December, during the league's off-season. No player may sign with the PBA until he has been eligible for at least one draft.

He also became the first player in collegiate basketball history to lead a college league in points, rebounds, and assists. Due to his versatility, him being frequently listed between 6'1 and 6'2, and his position as an undersized power forward for the Aces, Abueva has been frequently compared to the legendary import Sean Chambers.
John Aldrech Ramos is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Terra Firma Dyip of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). At 6'6", he plays both the small forward and power forward positions. Ramos is also a decent outside shooter. He was part of the FEU Tamaraws team who played back to back finals in seasons 73 and 74 against the Ateneo Blue Eagles.
