Terri Scott is the former Principal of Northern Regional College, Northern Ireland, a position she held from 2014 to 2021.

Prior to this post, she was the first female President of Institute of Technology, Sligo (ITS), from 2008 to 2014. She was the fourth woman in history to serve as President of one of the institutes of technology in Ireland. [1] Her academic career consists of more than two decades of work on multiple continents. Scott is originally from Derry, Northern Ireland, where she still resides with her husband Chris. They have three children Peter (born 1986), Bronagh (born 1989) and Claire (born 1990). [1] [2] She was schooled at Thornhill College before progressing to the University of Ulster and Queen's University Belfast. [1] She spent time studying economics and geography. As a postgraduate she studied informatics. [1]

At the University of Ulster she progressed to become dean and head of the university's School of Computing and Mathematics. [2] She has been a visiting faculty member at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and been involved with other universities around Europe and in Asia. [1] [2]

In 2000, the British Computer Society awarded her with "IT Professional of the Year", the first time a woman had achieved this accolade. [1]

Scott established the Northern Ireland Centre for Entrepreneurship, also directing it. [1] She was Managing Director of Invest Northern Ireland from 2002 to 2006. [1] She then moved on to become the founding CEO of the Ryan Academy of Entrepreneurship. [1] Currently, she is a director and boardmember of IDA Ireland. [3]

In November 2008 she became President of Institute of Technology, Sligo. [1] [2]

At the ninth annual Careers' Fair on 21 January 2009, she said:

Having a degree is no longer enough. Companies will be looking for the brightest and the best. The responsibility is on the individual to have a flexible attitude and work much harder at marketing and promoting yourself. [4]

Iris Robinson is a former Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) politician in Northern Ireland. She is married to Peter Robinson, who was First Minister of Northern Ireland from 2008 to 2016.

The Institute of Technology, Sligo was an institute of technology, located in Sligo, Ireland. In April 2022, it was formally dissolved, and its functions became part of Atlantic Technological University (ATU). As of 2021, the institute had three faculties and nine departments.

Julia Neuberger

Julia Babette Sarah Neuberger, Baroness Neuberger, was the second woman to be ordained as a Rabbi in the UK, and is a British member of the House of Lords. She previously took the Liberal Democrat whip, but resigned from the party and became a crossbencher in 2011 upon becoming the full-time senior rabbi of the West London Synagogue, from which she retired in 2020. She became the chair of University College London Hospitals (UCLH) in 2019.

Nuala OLoan, Baroness OLoan Public figure in Northern Ireland, Police Ombudsman and parliamentarian

Nuala Patricia O'Loan, Baroness O'Loan, DBE, known between 2007 and 2009 as Dame Nuala O'Loan, is a noted public figure in Northern Ireland. She was the first Police Ombudsman from 1999 to 2007. In July 2009, it was announced that she was to be appointed to the House of Lords and she was so appointed in September 2009. In December 2010, National University of Ireland, Maynooth appointed her as Chairman of its Governing Authority. She is a columnist with The Irish Catholic.

The Trench Cup is the second tier Gaelic football championship trophy for Third Level Education Colleges, Institutes of Technology and Universities in Ireland and England. The Trench Cup Championship is administered by Comhairle Ard Oideachais, the Gaelic Athletic Association's Higher Education Council.

Karen Gordon Mills is an American businessperson and former government official who served as the 23rd Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). She was nominated by President-elect Barack Obama on December 19, 2008, confirmed unanimously by the Senate on April 2, 2009, and sworn in on April 6, 2009. Atlantic Technological University Technological university in the west and north of Ireland

Atlantic Technological University is a technological university in the west and north-west of Ireland. It was formally established on 1 April 2022 as a merger of three regional institutes of technology (ITs) - Galway-Mayo IT, IT Sligo, and Letterkenny IT - into a single technological university, the fourth such TU in Ireland.

Gemma McGuinness is an Irish footballer who plays for Women's National League (WNL) club Sligo Rovers. She previously represented Derry City of the Northern Ireland Women's Premiership. A winger or forward, she has also represented the Republic of Ireland at youth level and Northern Ireland at senior level.
