Shannara is a series of high fantasy novels written by Terry Brooks, beginning with The Sword of Shannara in 1977 and continuing through The Skaar Invasion which was released in June 2018; there is also a prequel, First King of Shannara. The series blends magic and primitive technology and is set in the Four Lands, which are identified as Earth long after civilization was destroyed in a chemical and nuclear holocaust called the Great Wars. By the time of the prequel First King of Shannara, the world had reverted to a pre-industrial state and magic had re-emerged to supplement science.

Alf Heiberg Clausen is an American film and television composer. He is best known for his work scoring many episodes of The Simpsons, of which he had been the sole composer between 1990 and 2017. Clausen has scored or orchestrated music for more than 30 films and television shows, including Moonlighting, The Naked Gun, ALF and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Clausen received an Honorary Doctorate of Music from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in 1996.

James Owen Sullivan, professionally known by his stage name The Rev, was an American musician, best known as the drummer, songwriter, backing vocalist and founding member of the American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold. The Rev was widely regarded and critically acclaimed for his work on Avenged Sevenfold albums, and contributed entire songs composed by himself, such as "Afterlife", "A Little Piece of Heaven", and "Almost Easy". He was also the lead vocalist/pianist in Pinkly Smooth, a side project where he was known by the name Rathead, with fellow Avenged Sevenfold member, guitarist Synyster Gates, and he was the drummer for Suburban Legends from 1998 to 1999.
Kyle Eastwood is an American jazz bass musician. He studied film at the University of Southern California for two years before embarking on a music career. After becoming a session player in the early 1990s and leading his own quartet, he released his first solo album, From There to Here, in 1998. His album, The View From Here, was released 2013 by Jazz Village. Eastwood plays fretted and fretless electric bass guitar and double bass.

The album is known amongst fans as "The Meat Album", as the album cover features lots of meat on hangers in a warehouse; a human can also be seen hanging amongst the meat. The 2004 CD reissue features 3 bonus tracks. Several outside musicians were used on this album including Mike Oldfield of Tubular Bells fame.

Superchip: The Final Silicon Solution? is the eighth and final album by the Edgar Broughton Band. This album saw them on their own record label, and also saw them returning to their original moniker, "Edgar Broughton Band" as opposed to The Broughtons as they were called on their previous album, Parlez-Vous English?. This album still sees the band with a slightly different sound, with prominent use of synthesisers, but still retaining their original psychedelic rock roots. The album was originally released as "Sheet Records Sheet 2" in 1982. The 2006 CD reissue features one bonus track, which was an electronic dance track created by Edgar Broughton and his son, Luke Broughton.

The untitled eighth studio album by American nu metal band Korn was released on July 31, 2007, through Virgin Records and is to date their only album without an official drummer, as David Silveria departed the band in 2006. The band hired drummers Terry Bozzio and Brooks Wackerman to play the album's drum parts. The album was intentionally released without a title, as Davis reasoned, "Why not just let our fans call it whatever they wanna call it?" The album was certified Gold in the United States on October 30, 2007.
