Testing the Waters is the debut album by American rap group Thirsty Fish, released March 5, 2007 on Bell Rang Records in affiliation with Project Blowed.
The water-themed album comes after Thirsty Fish member Dumbfoundead released a previous concept album in 2005, the video game themed Super Barrio Bros EP which features Psychosiz of Thirsty Fish on the track "Three Pipes Down" and Thirsty Fish's Open Mike Eagle on the track "Bosses" (alongside Alpha MC). All three members of the group appear on that album's bonus track "Shit Talkers". [1]
Generally regarded as a solid debut [2] with average to above average ratings from consumers [3] and above average to exceptional ratings from reviewers, [4] Thirsty Fish have since been signed to Mush Records to produce a second album, Watergate . [5] In spite of this, however, a recurring criticism is the group's overuse of the water theme. [6]

The Electric Spanking of War Babies is the twelfth studio album by the American funk rock band Funkadelic, released in April 1981 on Warner Bros. Records. Super Furry Animals are a Welsh rock band formed in Cardiff in 1993. For the duration of their professional career, the band consisted of Gruff Rhys, Huw Bunford, Guto Pryce, Cian Ciaran, and Dafydd Ieuan. An earlier incarnation of the band featured actor Rhys Ifans on lead vocals. Cibo Matto was an American alternative rock band formed by Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori in New York City in 1994. Their first album, Viva! La Woman (1996), had lyrics primarily concerned with food. Thirsty Merc are an Australian pop rock band, formed in 2002 by Rai Thistlethwayte, Phil Stack, Karl Robertson (drums), and Matthew Baker (guitar). In 2004, Baker was replaced by Sean Carey, who was, in turn, replaced by Matt Smith in 2010. Thirsty Merc have released one extended play, First Work, and five studio albums: Thirsty Merc, Slideshows, Mousetrap Heart, Shifting Gears, and Celebration. The Other Two is an English dance band consisting of Stephen Morris and Gillian Gilbert of New Order. Southern Pacific was an American country rock band that existed from 1983 to 1991. Fec writes, records, and produces the work of BMSR independently. Rise Above is an album by indie rock band Dirty Projectors, released on September 11, 2007. The album was band leader David Longstreth's reinterpretation of Black Flag album Damaged from memory having not heard it in 15 years. The album features Longstreth on guitar and vocals, Amber Coffman on vocals and guitar, Brian McOmber on drums, Nat Baldwin on bass, and Susanna Waiche on vocals. Angel Deradoorian would join the band shortly before the Rise Above tour on bass and vocals. This album is the first that presents Dirty Projectors as a fully realized band rather than an individual project of Longstreth.

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he is now based in Los Angeles, California, where he is a member of the hip hop collective Project Blowed. He has also been a member of Thirsty Fish, Swim Team, and Cavanaugh.
