Eveline Tete Chelangat (born 6 August 1960) sabiny by tribe is a Ugandan Member of Parliament for 10 years . She represents Bukwo [1] Kongasis Constituency as the woman MP. She belongs to the NRM (National Resistance Movement) Party in the National Assembly. [2]

Academic

She attended Bukwo Primary School where she sat for her PLE. Thereafter, she proceeded to Kidetok girls, Serere for her O level before joining Sebei college, Tegeres. She holds a diploma in social work from Nsamizi Institute (Mpigi). She is a social worker by profession and a Pentacostal by religion.

Political life

Eveline Tete Chelangat joined politics and started from District Councilor LC5, in 2006 Bukwo District was given officially a district and she took up as women Representative to Parliament of Uganda under National Resistance Movement to 2016.

Jenipher Kacha Namuyangu, also Jennifer Namuyangu Byakatonda, but commonly referred to as Jennifer Namuyangu, is a Ugandan politician and environmentalist. She belongs to the National Resistance Movement political party. She is the Minister of State for Local Government in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. She previously served as the Minister of State for Water Resources, from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the Cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011, she was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Betty Bigombe. Rukiya Kulany Chekamondo, sometimes spelled as Rukia Kulany Chekamondo, is a Ugandan educator and politician. She was the State Minister for Privatization in the Ministry of Finance, from June 2006 until May 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011, she was dropped from the cabinet and replaced by Aston Kajara. Mary Busingye Karooro Okurut, more commonly known as Mary Karooro Okurut, is a Ugandan educator, author and politician. She is the former Cabinet Minister in Charge of General Duties in the Office of the Prime Minister, in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. Prior to that, from 1 March 2015 until 6 June 2016, she served as Cabinet Minister for National Security. She was appointed to that position on 1 March 2015, replacing Wilson Muruli Mukasa, who was appointed Minister of Gender and Social Issues. Between 2012 and 2015, she served as the Minister of Gender and Social Issues in the Cabinet of Uganda. She was appointed to that position in 2012. She replaced Syda Bumba, who resigned from Cabinet. Mary Karoro Okurut also serves as the elected Member of Parliament for Bushenyi District Women's Constituency. Mariam Najjemba Mbabaali, formerly known as Rosemary Najjemba Muyinda is a Ugandan politician. She served as the State Minister for Urban Planning in the Ugandan Cabinet from 15 August 2012, until 6 June 2016, when she was dropped from cabinet. In the cabinet, she replaced Justine Lumumba Kasule, who was appointed Government Chief Whip.
