The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is an independent, nonprofit, student-run organization dedicated to providing unmatched progressive programs, information, and resources on issues critical to architecture and the experience of education. The vision of the AIAS is to promote excellence in architecture education, and training; foster an appreciation of architecture, design and related disciplines; enrich communities in a spirit of collaboration; and organize students and combine their efforts to advance the art and policy of architecture. The core focus of AIAS membership supports architecture students in collegiate schools across the United States, a population of approximately 25,000 students annually enrolled in accredited degree programs. In recent years, the AIAS has also expanded into international academic programs.

David Heymann is an American architect, writer, and educator. Audubon Magazine writer Patricia Sharpe calls him a "well known green architect". In 1988 Heymann designed an environmentally friendly house for then Governor of Texas George W. Bush and Laura Bush for their Prairie Chapel Ranch near Crawford, Texas. Heymann is a contributing writer for Places Journal. In 2014 he published a book of short stories, My Beautiful City Austin, which has been included on several lists of best literature about Austin, Texas. He is currently the Harwell Hamilton Harris Regents Professor at University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture.
Boston Architectural College, also known as The BAC, is New England's largest private college of spatial design. It offers first-professional bachelor's and master's degrees in architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, and non-professional design studies. The college offers continuing education credits and certificates and also hosts the BAC Summer Academy for high school students, as well as a variety of other ways for the general public to explore spatial design. It hosts spatial design exhibits and exhibits student and alumni work in its McCormick Gallery and frequently hosts conferences and symposia on spatial design.

In 2016, the school's former dean, Frederick "Fritz" Steiner, stepped down citing Texas Government Code Section 411.2031, also known as "Campus Carry," which entitles licensed individuals to carry concealed handguns onto the campus of an institution of higher education.
Howard R. Barr (1910–2002) was a prominent twentieth-century architect in Austin, Texas. He received his degree from the University of Texas School of Architecture in 1934. Upon graduation, he worked in the University architect’s office, where his first project was the design of housing units for the new U.T. observatory in West Texas.

Juan Miró is the Director of the Studio Mexico Program and a professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Professor Miró has directed Studio Mexico since 1998, a program that affords students the opportunity to travel to and explore Mexican culture through the study of architecture, drawing, and design. He teaches at the School of Architecture and his areas of interests are design, construction; Mexican architecture and architectural history, and the role of architects in the shaping of cities in the U.S. and abroad. Moody Centennial Professorship in Architecture. He is a past president of the Texas Society of Architecture. He was dean of the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin from 1992-2001 and served as Founding Director of the Center of American Architecture and Design from 1982-1990. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as an undergraduate receiving two degrees, one in Art and Design from the School of Architecture and one in Management from the Sloan School of Management. He also received his Master of Architecture from M.I.T.
Marlon Blackwell is an American architect and university professor in Arkansas. A Fellow of the American Institute of Architects, Blackwell is the E. Fay Jones Chair in Architecture and a Distinguished Professor in the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He is founder and principal at Marlon Blackwell Architects, a design firm established in 2000 in Fayetteville. Working outside the architectural mainstream, his architecture is based in design strategies that celebrate vernaculars and that draw upon them, and that seek to transgress conventional boundaries for architecture.

Founded in 1994 by Andrew Phong Vo, Texas Iron Spikes was established to serve the University and Central Texas region through active philanthropy.
