The University of Texas at Dallas is a public research university in Richardson, Texas. It is the northernmost institution of the University of Texas System. It was initially founded in 1961 as a private research arm of Texas Instruments.

The hospital has 496 pediatric beds and is affiliated with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. It provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens and young adults aged 0–21 throughout Texas and surrounding regions. It sometimes treats adults who require pediatric care as well. It has an ACS designated level 1 pediatric trauma center, one of five in Texas. The hospital also has affiliations with the adjacent Parkland Memorial Hospital.

It is part of the University of North Texas System and was founded in 1966 as the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, with its first cohort admitted in 1970. UNT Health Science Center consists of six schools with a total enrollment of 2,329 students (2020–21).

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, founded in 1969 as a branch campus of TTUHSC, became a separate institution in 2013.

Royse City High School is a public secondary school located in Royse City, Texas, United States and is the only high school in the Royse City Independent School District. The current building opened in the fall of 2006, and is located in the southwestern part of Hunt County. The school serves students from Collin County, Hunt County, and Rockwall County. In 2011, the school was rated "Academically Acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. The school garnered national attention when a student wore a Confederate flag as a cape on campus, April 23, 2019; subsequently, "white power" was shouted at a black television reporter from a vehicle leaving the school.
The Center for BrainHealth, part of The University of Texas at Dallas' school of Behavioral and Brain Sciences, is a research institute focused exclusively on brain health that combines brain research with clinical interventions. Founded by Dr. Sandra Bond Chapman in 1999, the Center for BrainHealth houses 125 researchers, postdoctoral research fellows, doctoral students, master's students, and research clinicians who work on 60 privately and federally funded research projects. The Center provides academic training and houses specialists in, among many others, Alzheimer's disease, traumatic brain injury (TBI), healthy brain aging, multiple sclerosis, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), stroke, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). To help raise awareness of and funding for research underway at the Center for BrainHealth, a number of proponent groups have formed. These include the Think Ahead Group (TAG) of young professionals and Friends of BrainHealth.
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine is the medical school of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). TTUHSC SOM was originally chartered in 1969 to train more physicians for the underserved populations of the West Texas region. As of 2011, the School of Medicine has awarded over 4,000 Doctor of Medicine degrees. The school offers the traditional four-year curriculum, as well as an accelerated three-year track, and joint degree programs with Texas Tech University.
University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas is a public, non-profit 500-bed hospital. UMC is the primary hospital of the MC Health System and is owned by the taxpayers of Lubbock County. It serves as the primary teaching hospital for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). UMC had the first Level 1 Trauma Center in West Texas, the John A. Griswold Trauma Center, and it is still the only Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. UMC's Timothy J. Harnar Burn Center is the only Burn Center in the region. UMC is the first magnet status hospital in West Texas. UMC's Children's Unit is a part of the Children's Miracle Network and includes a pediatric intensive care unit and a neonatal intensive care unit.

He served as the surgery department chairman at Baylor College of Medicine, as dean of Dartmouth College's Geisel School of Medicine, as president and CEO of the Harvard Immune Disease Institute, and as president of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
Tedd L. Mitchell is an American academic. He is the fifth chancellor of the Texas Tech University System. He is also the chairman for the Board of Trustees of the Cooper Institute, a Dallas-based health and wellness system founded by Kenneth H. Cooper.
