1 News is the news division of New Zealand television network TVNZ. The service is broadcast live from TVNZ Centre in Auckland. The flagship news bulletin is the nightly 6 pm news hour, but 1 News also has midday and late night news bulletins, as well as current affairs shows such as Breakfast and Seven Sharp.

The Newshub brand replaced 3 News service on the TV3 network and the Radio Live news service heard on MediaWorks Radio stations on 1 February 2016. In late 2020, MediaWorks sold Newshub to US multimedia company Discovery, Inc. The acquisition was completed on 1 December 2020.

His roles with TVNZ included hosting the 1 News 6pm weekend bulletin and serving as the southern editor of TVNZ Sports in Wellington. Breakfast is a New Zealand morning news and talk show airing weekday mornings on TVNZ 1, produced by 1 News. Debuting on 11 August 1997, it was the first of its genre in New Zealand. It contains a mixture of breaking news, news, sport, weather and feature items. Originally a two-hour programme, it was expanded to three hours in 2012. It is currently presented by Jenny-May Clarkson, Matty Mclean, Anna Burns-Francis and Chris Chang.
Duncan Garner is a New Zealand radio and television host and journalist. He took over the Radio Live drive slot in December 2012 and was previously the Newshub political editor in Wellington. He moved to host The AM Show in 2017, which was broadcast on Three and Radio Live. Garner left Three on 23 August 2021, after a career of almost 20 years with the channel.
Paul Henry was a New Zealand morning news and talk show that aired weekdays on Three and was simulcast on Radio Live. Its final lineup consisted of host Paul Henry, news anchor Ingrid Hipkiss, sports anchor Jim Kayes and social media anchor Verity Johnson.
