David John Matthews is an American singer, songwriter, musician, actor and record label owner, best known as the lead vocalist, songwriter and guitarist for the Dave Matthews Band (DMB). Matthews was born in Johannesburg, and moved frequently between South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States while growing up. Matthews started playing acoustic guitar at the age of nine.

Guitar tracks are credited to "Dale Nixon," not Brian Baker; Baker could not use his real name because he was at the time under contract with the blues/metal band Junkyard.

The lyrics represent a man or boy who is learning to find his own way in life away from his mother. The song is directly written about Hetfield's difficult relationship with his mother, who died of cancer when he was 16 years old.
"The Wizard" is a song by British rock band Uriah Heep, from their 1972 album Demons and Wizards. It was the first single to be lifted from the album. It was composed by Mark Clarke and Ken Hensley. It is a gentle, semi-acoustic ballad whose lyrics deal with a man wandering until he meets "the Wizard of a thousand kings", a possible reference to Merlin or Gandalf. This song is the first Uriah Heep single which had a music video.

They draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources, including Spaghetti Western, film noir, Country Gothic/cowpunk/country rock/Americana, garage rock, surf rock, psychobilly/gothabilly, and Tex-Mex/mariachi. The band is virtually unknown in the United States, but they have a strong fanbase in their home country and Turkey.
"Fly by Night" is the title track of Rush's second album. The music was written by bassist Geddy Lee and the lyrics were penned by drummer Neil Peart. Peart wrote this song about his first trip away from home. In 1971, at 18 years old, he left behind his small-town Canadian life and flew to England. This was a major turning point in his life. Lee sings the lead vocals and on the song's middle eight, his voice is fed through a Leslie speaker.

From Hell to Paradise is the second album by the American country music band The Mavericks. It was released in 1992 on MCA Nashville Records. The only album to feature David Lee Holt on lead guitar comprises ten songs, including re-recordings of four from their first album, The Mavericks (1991): "Mr. Jones", "The End of the Line ", "This Broken Heart" and "A Better Way". Two cover songs appear on this album: "Excuse Me " and "Hey Good Lookin'", which were previously recorded by Buck Owens and Hank Williams, respectively. The latter cover was one of two singles released from this album, and it peaked at #74 on the Billboard country charts in 1992. The other, "I Got You" b/w "A Better Way", failed to chart.
My Life was the twenty-fourth studio album of Country music artist Ronnie Milsap. It was released in 2006, marking his return to RCA Nashville, after a departure in 1991 following Back to the Grindstone. Two singles were released from the album including "Local Girls" and "You Don't Know My Love", the latter did not chart but the former reached No. 54 on country charts, Milsap's first activity on the chart since the release of "Time, Love and Money" from his 2000 compilation album 40 #1 Hits.
Ricochet is the second album, by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and their second album release of 1967, being released only four or five months after their first album, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, which was released in February or March, 1967. It appears that this album may have been released rather quickly after their first album because that album had been only the second Liberty Records release of 1967 to make the Billboard Top Pop Albums chart, the first being Gary Lewis & the Playboys You Don't Have To Paint Me A Picture LP, which charted in February. Unfortunately, Ricochet would fail to make the charts.
