The Beast You Feed is the first full-length album from Veridia with the album's title being inspired by a Cherokee proverb. [4] It was independently released on October 26, 2018 and was funded by a highly successful crowd funding campaign. [5]

"Numb", the album's first single released on July 27, 2018 [9] describes "drowning out sadness with music". [8] The second single, "I Won't Stay Down", released on September 28, 2018, and serves as "both a battle cry and an ode to the discovery of inner strength". [10] The third single, "Cheshire Smile", released on October 19, 2018, [11] a week before the album, [12] serves as an "example of covering up sadness with a smile." [8]
