Benjamin Mugisha (born January 9, 1987), known professionally as The Ben, is a Rwandan singer-songwriter.
In 2010, he moved to the United States where he collaborated with Detroit based hip-hop artist Mike-E Ellison. [1] Later, he was invited to perform at the UN headquarters. [2] Ben's song "I'm in Love", released in October 2012, led to the creation of a new music category at the 2012 Salax Music Award Presentations in Rwanda making him the first ever recipient of Award for Best Music Artist in the Diaspora. In 2021 Julien Bmjizzo a Rwandan Music video director shot and directed a song titled Why by The Ben and Diamond Platnumz. [4]

Sheebah Karungi, professionally known as Queen Karma and Sheebah, is a Ugandan musician, dancer, actress and feminist activist. She debuted her acting career in Queen of Katwe as Shakira. After quitting Obsessions, a dance group she joined in 2006, she started making music and later rose to recognition upon the release of her hit single "Ice Cream". In 2014, she released her debut project Ice Cream, a five-track EP which did well commercially and led her to win back-to-back HiPipo Music Awards Best Female Artist in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Rayvanny was mentioned by MTV Base among "Acts To Look Out For" in 2017.

The ceremony was set to feature performances from various African celebrities; Wizkid, Sheebah Karungi, Diamond Platnumz, Khaligraph Jones, Nasty C, Suspect 95, Soraia Ramos, and Calema, among others. The repeat show will also be aired on BET Africa, BET International, and MTV channels.
