The Body Wins is the second full-length studio album [1] by Denton, Texas [2] artist Sarah Jaffe. [3] It was recorded by producer John Congleton of The Paper Chase at Elmwood Studio in Dallas, Texas. [4]

Many of the tracks on this album are slow-paced songs about love and heartbreak. [7]

Deep Blue Something is an American rock band who are known for their 1995 hit single "Breakfast at Tiffany's" from their second album Home. Home achieved gold-record status; however, the band parted ways with Interscope Records and went on creative hiatus for several years, only releasing the follow-up Byzantium in Japan and some European countries. They eventually signed with the Aezra label and released Deep Blue Something in mid-2001, breaking up shortly after. The band regrouped with all members at the end of 2014 and signed to John Kirtland's independent label, Kirtland Records.

Lewis was also the lead vocalist and guitarist for the Dallas-based Burden Brothers. In July 2017, Lewis opened The Loop Artist Rehearsal Studios in Fort Worth, TX.

Feeler was supposed to have been the Toadies's follow-up album to the critically acclaimed debut Rubberneck; however, its release was denied by Interscope Records. In June 2010, the band announced that they had re-entered the studio to "rediscover" and re-record the album. This nine-song version was released on August 10, 2010.

The A-train is a 21-mile (34 km) commuter rail and interurban light rail line in Denton County, Texas, United States. It is the third-busiest commuter rail line in Texas and thirty-first in the United States. It runs parallel to Interstate 35E between Denton and Carrollton and acts as an extension with the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Green Line at Trinity Mills Station in Carrollton. It is operated by First Transit under the authority of the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) and serves Denton County. It opened on June 20, 2011.

Even Born Again is a six-song EP by Denton singer-songwriter Sarah Jaffe. The EP was produced and recorded by John Congleton at Elmwood Studios in Dallas, Texas. Even Born Again features Dallas musicians Jonathan Clark, Becki Phares Howard, Ben Moore, Jeff Ryan, and Kris Youmans. The album was released on August 20, 2008 by Summer Break Records.

<i>The Way Sound Leaves a Room</i> 2011 EP by Sarah Jaffe

The Way Sound Leaves a Room is the second EP and third release by Texas musician Sarah Jaffe. The EP consists of eight songs recorded in Jaffe's home in Denton, Texas. Two songs are covers, one is a different version of a song from her first album Suburban Nature, one is an outro version of a song from her debut, and the remaining four are demo versions of songs that might appear on her second full-length album. This EP steps away from Jaffe's acoustic sound and moves in more of an electric sound. She stated this EP was more of a transition piece to lead into her second studio album. The CD version come packaged with a DVD of Jaffe's live show at the Wyly Theater. "A Sucker for Your Marketing" was released as the first single from the EP.

Comet (band)

Comet is an American indie rock band that was formed in 1993 in the Dallas, Texas suburb of Mesquite. Described as an enigmatic noise pop outfit brought together by a common love of the Beatles, the original lineup of singer/guitarist Jim Stone, his bassist-brother Neil Stone, guitarist Daniel Huffman, and percussionist Josh Garza entered the studio later that year to cut their debut single "Portrait," produced by Mercury Rev alum David Baker. A deal with the Arista subsidiary Dedicated label followed, they became label mates with Spiritualized, Beth Orton and the Cranes and with Baker again at the helm, Comet recorded their LP bow Chandelier Musings, issued in late 1996. The band toured throughout much of 1995 and 1996 and into early 1997 when fallout from a tour-van accident led to the eventual break up of the original line-up.
