The Bonnie Prudden Show is a Canadian talk show and exercise television series which aired on CBC Television from 1965 to 1970.

Premise

Fitness expert Bonnie Prudden combined interview and exercise segments during this series. Subjects included aging, astrology, finance, health and travel. Her guests were from internationally and culturally diverse backgrounds. [1]

Some episodes, especially in the 1967–68 season, were produced on location in such regions as Asia and Australia. [2]

Episodes were produced in Toronto by Crescendo Productions and Taylor-Roffman Productions Ltd. and broadcast by CBC Television and in US syndication. [1] [3]

Scheduling

This half-hour series was broadcast on CBC weekdays at 4:00 p.m. in its first season for 65 episodes from 15 November 1965 to 15 February 1966. [4] After skipping new production for 1966–67, other than some limited morning rebroadcasts in early 1967, its final season of 130 programmes in 1967-68 was broadcast from 30 October 1967 to 11 June 1968. Repeats were broadcast on CBC Television until September 1970.

<i>The Magilla Gorilla Show</i> American animated television series

The Magilla Gorilla Show is an American animated television series starring Magilla Gorilla. The series was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions for Screen Gems, and was originally sponsored in syndication by Ideal Toys from 1964 through 1967. The show had other recurring characters, including Punkin' Puss & Mushmouse, and Ricochet Rabbit & Droop-a-Long. In syndication, the main and supporting characters from the Peter Potamus show were also added. Prior to the show's launch, the show made an interview on their "upcoming" series in between the middle-and-late December 1963 on first-run syndication entitled Here Comes A Star. Like many of Hanna-Barbera's animal characters, Magilla Gorilla was dressed in human accessories, sporting a bow tie, shorts held up by suspenders, and an undersized derby hat. After a year on airing its original runs, repeats of all 31 episodes were aired between 1966 and 1967 during ABC-TV's Saturday morning schedule and on Sunday mornings the following season.

Ron Kelly is a Canadian film director and screenwriter. He began his career with the CBC film unit, directing many short and documentary films between 1952 and 1964.
